Fitzgerald
I have deprodded all the articles on his short stories. Have you searched the appropriate academic indexes, such as the MLA Index, and looked at the large number of biographies and critical works on Fitzgerald? I think it almost certain that there will be sources, considering the fame of the author. DGG ( talk ) 03:58, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
- I had quickly looked for suitable references for the individual stories. I agree that the collection in its entirety is notable, but that does not mean that each story in the collection is individually notable. I will look again over the next couple of weeks - but unless I (or someone else, such as yourself) finds something showing that the individual stories are individually notable, then I will take any such stories to AfD. "I think it almost certain" is not enough to show notability! PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 05:05, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Mannargudi Sambasiva Bhagavatar
Hello Editor, I have submitted an article with the title "Mannargudi Sambasiva Bhagavatar".The article has been deleted and I want to recreate it with different content with the same title. How do i do this as the article is already deleted. Please give me the steps to proceed further.
Thanks, Viji683 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Viji683 (talk • contribs) 17:57, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Viji683, thanks for contacting me. If you think the article is ready, you can move your draft to Mannargudi Sambasiva Bhagavatar. However, the draft still looks to me (at a very quick glance) to be a close paraphrase to the article at The Hindu here. You should consider re-writing it all in your own words, without copying sections nearly verbatim from the newspaper article. Otherwise, it might be considered for deletion again. The article on Wikipedia would need to clearly shows that he meets the notability criteria for musicians and the general notability guidelines. PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 13:59, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Ludwig Hupfeld
Hey Phantomsteve, I just thought I'd let you know that I saw your article Ludwig Hupfeld in the New Articles list-- You did an excellent job with including references and citations. However, I noticed there are some holes that may need filling: the article does not contain in-line citations, and so doesn't follow Wikipedia style guidelines. It would be great if you could also improve the related article Player piano.
It's always nice to see users contributing to make Wikipedia better! Amy Z (talk) 18:18, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
- I came across the article as a disamb link to the German article - I machine-translated-and-tidied-up - I don't read German myself (well, the odd word maybe!) and so I could not really check the source provided to find in-line citations. I also know nothing about the other article, and don't really have time to look into it properly! I came across the other article while looking at other stuff, and thought I could get a start-article created, but it needs someone who both knows German, and who knows the subject, to actually work on it further. Thanks for your nice comments, though. As a longer-term editor/contributor -just over 7 years! - I don't very often get compliments! PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 13:52, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Phantomsteve,
- Wow, 7 years is a long time to be editing Wikipedia.
- I am a researcher at Carnegie Mellon University examining how to make interaction in Wikipedia more effective. Our research has shown that certain types of feedback encourage Wikipedians to edit more while others seem to discourage them. Experienced and less experienced Wikipedians seem to have different reactions to very similar feedback. I am interested in interviewing you about your reaction to the message I sent you. A discussion with you will help us better understand the types of feedback that can encourage newcomers's participation to Wikipedia without turning off old-timers.
- I can talk with you via online chat, on Skype, over the phone, or just through Wikipedia messages if you are more comfortable with that. The interview should take take less than 60 minutes. You do need to be over 18 years old, and consent to be a part of the study in order to for me to interview you. This study has been approved by Carnegie Mellon's research ethics committee (the IRB), and the Wikipedia Research Committee.
- Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon. We will be glad to send you a draft describing our research results right after the interview.

Deletion of Natural History Museum (Axioupoli)
Hello,
I noticed that you have deleted the article due to alleged copyright infringement. However, I don't believe there is copyright problem, since the original site's credits page specifically allows copying the material. At any rate, the text can serve as a starting point for a more complete article.
Regards, Vlas2000 (talk) 19:58, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
- I had noticed the copyright at the bottom of the page, but had not clicked on the link, so didn't see the CC-BY-SA licence! I have restored it, but redone the PROD as my deletion had interrupted that process. PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 23:00, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
No rush, but I got asked on my talk page if I felt this was a G4 with the AfD you previously closed (as Prachi Save), as I was the original nom I think it'd be cleaner for someone else to make that call, either way. Cheers, --j⚛e deckertalk 01:28, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
- I'll look at it PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 07:13, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
- I agree that it's a G4. I have deleted it, and will contact the creator explaining why. Thanks for letting me know! PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 07:19, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
Swisswuff
Hey Steve, if you get a minute, I have an unblock request from User:Swisswuff. You blocked this editor in 2010 over their username, noting that it was a spam username matching a prosthetics blog. The editor had sporadic edits from 2004 through the block, almost all in the area of prosthetics - but, near as I can tell, they did not seem to link to their own blog. Could you have a look and see if you can determine what there is to do here? I'm not sure that the user will consent to a new username - but I'm also not convinced that they need one. Thanks! UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 15:56, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
- I found their deleted userpage - it had one link, to that blog. You deleted it when you blocked. That's the only instance I can find of the user posting their blog, and it is their only deleted edit. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 15:58, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
- I have responded on the page, and unblocked them - it's interesting that it took almost 2 years for them to decide to request an unblock though! Thanks for letting me know. PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 04:00, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
- No problem. Thanks for taking care of that. Seems even simpler than it looked. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 20:25, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
