Broadcasted

The Wiktionary definition of Broadcasted states the use is sometimes proscribed, so it should not be used. The word also appears on Wikipedia:Lists_of_common_misspellings/B

Broadcasted appears in some dictionaries, but others, e.g. Chambers state "Sorry, no entries for Broadcasted were found".
Broadcast appears in all dictionaries, and should be used as COMMONALITY - "Wikipedia tries to find words that are common to all varieties of English".

A May 2023 search for Broadcast gave over 234,000 uses, compared with a search for Broadcasted which gave just 99.
Of these, 16 are redirects to "Broadcast" articles, 14 refer to a 2015 Canadian TV award and 5 relate to a 1924 cartoon. The rest are in quotations.

Hi AAnwar3 - We don't necessarily remove pages, just because a firm has been taken over. Many people won't know that, and would still look it up as "Augment", whilst we wouldn't want to loose the history of the original company. As you have a conflict of interest, I suggest you provide a reference about the take over at Talk:Augment (app) and request it is added to the article. - Arjayay (talk) 15:44, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Hi Sa1e24, I am not a new page reviewer and know nothing about the subject.
The reviewer who reviewed your submission four times has since been indefinitely blocked, but that does not make their comments invalid.
You need to understand WP:42, which is a very short summary of policies and guidelines, which are linked to on that page. To prove notability, references need to meet all three criteria simultaneously "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic", not passing mentions, not sources related to the article subject and not social media such as facebook or twitter.
I have carried out some minor tidying of format and removing "See also" entries already linked in the draft, but can help you no further. Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 15:21, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
