International release section cut

I deleted the entire "International release" section with a lengthy explanation in the edit summary. For purposes of clarification, I'm leaving this note.

The Broadcast section of Wikipedia's Manual of Style for television encourages a section called "Broadcast", not "International release". "Broadcast" should mention, in prose form, the English-speaking countries that also aired the show (assuming the show originated in an English-speaking country). Countries where English is not the native language should be mentioned in prose, only if notable. So if an episode of Randy Cunningham got 3 million viewers in Pakistan, when the same episode only received 1 million in the US, that would be worth mentioning. However, since Wikipedia is not a TV guide, simply listing every country and channel that aired the show does not seem consistent with the existing guidelines. Recent edits to conform with MOS:TV

It's not typical that I have to explain in detail edits that are made to conform with MOS:TV, but since IP 50.171.11.116 may be unfamiliar with how Wikipedia works, and may have not read my edit summaries, I will explain, soley for their benefit.

There is a style guide that governs how television articles should be written. It is the Manual of Style/Television. The document summarizes community consensus about what content should go into articles, and what content should be omitted. In these edits of mine I attempted to bring this article closer to the Manual of Style.

Per WP:OVERLINK I removed unnecessary wikilinks for common words like "gorillas", "tiger" and "cowboy", as none of these materially improve our understanding of the TV show. IP reverted one of my previous attempts at removing this content, arguing "How is it considered an over link if McFist has a link for a common word like crab?" This was resolved by my next pass, where I removed more wikilinks, including one for crab. I removed the voice actor listing as duplicating content already present in the Characters section. Additional voices for minor background characters aren't worth including since Wikipedia is neither IMDb, nor is it an indiscriminate list. When people add voice actors but don't include character names, that's often a sign that the character wasn't noteworthy enough for inclusion. MOS:TV#Crew states that a crew section does not need to be in the article. I cut it and moved some of the content to the lead. There were only two writers listed, and it seemed more intuitive that they be listed on the List of episodes page, which they are. Changed the Main characters, Villains, Other characters subsections to, simply, Main and Recurring per MOS:TV#Cast information. Added {{Tone}} templates as the content is not written in proper encyclopedic tone. (In-universe, crufty, etc) Removed -gonists per WP:FILMCAST.

And that pretty much represents the bulk of what I did, all of which was undone by the IP here with the inappropriate edit summary, "GO AND SUCK A PIPE!!". This contravenes the fourth pillar of Wikipedia, as well as the D aspect of WP:BRD, and serves only to support the user's POV. I will wait a little bit for a constructive conversation to begin, otherwise I will restore the version of the article that was closer to the MOS. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:52, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

Grammar cleanup and some cuts

In this edit I cleaned up some of the edits made by Firejally. There were significant grammar issues, and some of the additions were crufty. We're supposed to be presenting a general overview of the characters, with emphasis on real-world information, not to be laden with in-universe content like one-off jokes or recurring jokes, or random facts. Also, briefer is better. Some things simply didn't make sense, like how Bucky being a geek translates into him being turned into a purple monster. Huh? We also don't need to be specific about the name of the school's twirl team, particularly if we can express the same thought and communicate better what a "twirl team" (i.e., it's a baton twirling team.)
