Prerequisites
Before you can configure Cursor to use the Connect AI LLM Gateway, you must register a provider, create a routing rule, create a project, and issue a virtual key. See LLM Gateway for details.A Connect AI Personal Access Token (PAT) is not accepted by the LLM Gateway. Only a virtual key authenticates requests.
Configure Cursor

Open Cursor and go to Cursor Settings > Models.

Scroll down to the bottom and expand API Keys.

In OpenAI API Key, enter your virtual key obtained from the Connect AI LLM Gateway.

Enable Override OpenAI Base URL.

Enter the new OpenAI Base URL—https://cloud.cdata.com/gateway/v1.

Close Cursor Settings. Changes take effect immediately.
