Track page and event conversion goals in Clics

Goals

Track page and event conversions in Clics: create goals under Configure, then analyze them on Overview.

Goals measure conversions: a pricing page visit, a signup event, or any action you define. Create them under Configure → Goals, then analyze them on Overview.

There is no separate Goals tab in the project nav. Management lives in Configure; analysis lives on Overview.

Create a goal

  1. Open your project → Configure → Goals
  2. Click New goal
  3. Set a Display name
  4. Choose Goal type:
    • Page visit: match a Page path
    • Custom event: match an Event name from track()
  5. Save

Matching is retroactive on existing analytics for that environment.

Type Rule Match
Page visit Page path Exact path, or prefix with a trailing * (e.g. /blog/*). One * only, at the end, not **, not bare * / /*
Custom event Event name Exact name (e.g. signup_completed)

Paths are auto-prefixed with /. Suggestions come from recent analytics. List copy looks like Page is /pricing, Page matches /blog/*, or Event is signup.

Empty and delete

  • Empty Configure: No goals yet: create a page or event goal to see conversions on Overview
  • Delete: Delete this goal?: historical data stays; the goal stops appearing on Overview

Analyze on Overview

Goals card

Bottom of Overview: table of goals with VISITORS (unique), TOTAL (all conversions), and RATE for the date range.

State Copy
None configured No goals configured → Configure goals
Configured, no data No conversions for this period

Goal filter (goal mode)

From Overview Filter, pick Goal. The page switches to conversion KPIs:

  • Unique conversions
  • Total conversions
  • Conversion rate

Breakdown cards show Conversions and Rate. The Goals card may narrow to that goal. Goal and Event filters are mutually exclusive.

Clear the goal chip (or Clear Filters / Escape) to return to Visitors / Page views / Session duration / Bounce rate.

Environments

Goals are scoped per production / development environment. Use development to test rules before production.

API and MCP

  • list_goals, create_goal, update_goal, delete_goal
  • Pass env_id of production or development
