  • 🏆 Ecowende project recognised for world-class project execution   We’re proud that Vestas, in partnership with Ecowende, have been named a finalist in the 2026 IPMA: International Project Management Association's Global Awards for Large & Mega-Sized Projects, recognising project excellence in delivering the Hollandse Kust West VI offshore wind farm.   Delivering a project of this scale takes more than technology. It takes strong project management, rigorous planning and close collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, logistics, installation and commissioning, with safety and execution at scale at the heart of everything we do.   For Ecowende, project success means rethinking how offshore wind is designed and built, with ecology at the heart of the project. Together with Vestas, we are pioneering innovative approaches to minimise impact on birds, bats and marine ecosystems while testing solutions designed to stimulate biodiversity. Through extensive monitoring, research and data sharing, the project is generating valuable knowledge that can help shape the next generation of offshore wind farms.   Being recognised among the world’s leading large and mega-sized projects is a testament to the expertise, collaboration and commitment of everyone involved at Vestas, Ecowende and partners. As offshore wind projects continue to grow in scale and complexity, strong project execution is essential to delivering secure, affordable and sustainable energy in harmony with nature.

We’ve completed turbine installations at EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG’s He Dreiht.    All 64 V236-15.0 MW offshore turbines are now installed at the project in the North Sea. Here’s a snapshot of how He Dreiht will strengthen Europe’s energy system:   ✅ All 64 turbines amount to a capacity of 960 MW of secure, sustainable European energy. ✅ A single rotation of the rotor on our V236 turbine generates enough electricity to power four German households. ✅ The project represents a €2.4 billion investment in Europe’s energy independence and has been built entirely without state funding.    “The completion of turbine installation at He Dreiht marks a major milestone for Vestas and for offshore wind. He Dreiht is the first project to feature the installation of our flagship V236-15.0 MW turbine, marking an important step in bringing a new generation of offshore wind capacity into operation. I would like to thank Peter Heydecker and everyone at EnBW, as well as all partners involved, for the strong collaboration in reaching this milestone,” says Henrik Andersen, President and CEO of Vestas.   The work continues as we move ahead with the final stages of the project, including the investigation of the blade incident and commissioning.   Thank you to everyone involved in reaching this installation milestone.

  • 🤝 Partnership is the only way to meet rising demand for secure, affordable energy. It starts with a shared ambition. Then comes the hard work: planning at scale, solving challenges, and combining technology, grid integration and construction expertise. That’s exactly what we achieved with Pattern Energy on the SunZia Wind Farm in the US. Together, we delivered 242 V163-4.5 MW turbines and nearly 1 GW of installed capacity, enough to power around 320,000 homes. Beyond delivering clean electricity to local communities and industry, SunZia helped drive a $40 million investment across our Colorado manufacturing facilities, more than tripling employment at our Brighton Nacelle and Windsor Blade factories to support domestic production of the V163-4.5 MW turbine. 📹 Watch the full story of how SunZia came to life: https://lnkd.in/eP29CEgJ #VestasLandmarkProjects
