Inspiration
Online spending is a large part of our lives as students and it can be easy to spend lots without realising. This makes it more friendly for students as budgeting is very important
What it does
It acts as a browser for products and allows you to add it to your basket, adjusting your budget depending on how much it costs.
How we built it
We used Web, css and JavaScript in order to implement it. A large sample data of json code is stored in the js due to github pages restrictions
Challenges we ran into
Ebay API- couldn't use because we had to wait a day Amazon API- couldn't use because we would have had to purchased things with the link Walmart API- The website was so terrible we couldn't get it to work Best Buy API- Didn't let us create an account eCommerce/shoppify/Others- were paid
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Using an AI made sample data of json code to substitute for an api
What we learned
Never use APIs, EVER. And github has lots of restrictions with reading from files externally to its immediate files.
