Creator Guidelines
Everything you need to know before publishing on Devlio
What We Accept
We accept a wide range of digital projects. If you built it and it works, we want to see it.
- Minecraft: Plugins, mods, datapacks, resource packs, worlds, and server tools
- Discord: Bots, server templates, widgets, and integrations
- Web: Templates, landing pages, full-stack apps, and components
- Tools: Developer utilities, CLI tools, scripts, and automation
- Design: UI kits, graphics, icons, and templates
- Other: Mobile apps, desktop software, games, AI tools, and anything else digital
Before You Submit
- Test everything: Your project must work as described. If it has a setup process, test it from scratch. Broken projects get rejected.
- Write a real description: Explain what your project does, what makes it useful, and how to get started. Avoid vague one-liners.
- Include documentation: Every project needs a README or description that covers installation, usage, and any requirements.
- Good visuals: Upload a clear thumbnail (16:9 recommended) and at least one screenshot showing the project in action.
- No hardcoded secrets: Remove API keys, tokens, passwords, and debug code before uploading.
Quality Requirements
- Originality: The project must be your own work, or you must have the right to distribute it. Stolen or plagiarized content is permanently banned.
- No malware: Projects must not contain viruses, trojans, backdoors, data miners, or any code designed to harm users.
- Honest functionality: Your project must do what you say it does. Misleading descriptions or clickbait titles will be rejected.
- Clean code: Follow basic coding standards. Obfuscated code without justification is grounds for rejection.
- Versioning: When updating a project, clearly describe what changed. Users need to know what's new.
What Gets Rejected
- Projects that are incomplete, broken, or proof-of-concept only
- Duplicate uploads or re-uploads of previously rejected projects
- Projects that primarily promote external services without providing standalone value
- Content that violates our Moderation Guidelines
- Projects with no meaningful functionality (e.g., empty templates with no real content)
Submission Process
- Submit: Fill in all project details, upload your files, and submit for review.
- Review: Our team reviews every submission. This usually takes 1-3 days.
- Approval or Feedback: If approved, your project goes live. If rejected, you'll receive a reason and can resubmit after fixing the issues.
- Updates: You can upload new versions at any time. Updates go through the same review process.
