Uptime history and response times.

Websites and APIs
We load a page or an API endpoint and check that it answers without an error.
Scheduled jobs
Your cron job or backup calls a private URL each time it runs. When a call is late, we alert you.
Ping
We ping a server or device. When it stops answering, we alert you.
Ports
We connect to a port, such as a database or mail server. When the connection fails, we alert you.
Keyword checks
A page can load and still show an error message. Pick a word that the page must contain, or must not contain, and every check looks for it.
SSL certificate and domain expiry
We check both once a day. You get warnings 14, 7, 3, and 1 days before the certificate expires, and 30, 7, and 1 days before the domain expires.
Know about an outage before your customers do.
We confirm the failure with a second check, then alert your team. When the website is back, you get one more message with the total downtime.

Uptime monitoring questions.
Is DataDad Uptime really free?
Yes. The free plan includes 50 monitors per account, a year of history, and a status page. You do not need a credit card.
How often do you check my website?
Free monitors are checked every 5 minutes.
How do I get alerts when my website is down?
Choose push notifications in the iOS or Android app, email, or SMS. You get a second alert when your website is back up.
What can I monitor besides websites?
Scheduled jobs, such as cron jobs and backups, servers with ping, and ports, such as a database. A website monitor can also check that the page contains a word, or does not contain it.
Can I get alerts in Discord or Google Chat?
Yes. Add a webhook for a Discord channel or a Google Chat space. We post a test message when you add it.
Do you warn me before my SSL certificate or domain expires?
Yes. We check both once a day. You get warnings 14, 7, 3, and 1 days before the certificate expires, and 30, 7, and 1 days before the domain expires.
What counts as downtime?
A check is down when the request fails, times out, or returns an error status. A missing check does not count as downtime.
Can I make a status page with my own brand?
Yes. Use your own domain, logo, colors, and font, and choose which monitors to show.
Do I need to install anything on my website?
No. We check your website from outside. You do not add code, a plugin, or a tracking script.
Does this include Analytics?
Analytics is a separate product. You do not need to install analytics to use Uptime.
