Basic Features and Storage

  • Q.How should I start choosing Copic markers?

    A.

Since Copic alcohol markers can be layered to create deeper shades even with the same color, we recommend starting with lighter tones. You may begin by selecting colors that match what you want to draw or simply colors you like, then gradually add more as you find the need for additional shades.

Copic Sketch markers are available in 358 colors, which you can browse in our Color List. If selecting individual colors feels difficult, we offer curated Copic sets designed for different uses, which can be a helpful starting point.

  • Q.How do I best store my Copic markers?

    A.

How to Store Copic Markers and Multiliners
Store your Copic markers in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to sunlight or strong UV rays may cause the marker barrel to crack and may also lead to ink discoloration. To help keep the ink evenly distributed, we recommend storing Copic markers and Multiliners horizontally. If the ink settles to one side, simply turn the marker or Multiliner to the opposite side and allow it to rest for a while before use.
Because Copic Ink (formerly Various Ink) is flammable, store it in a safe location away from heat, sparks, open flames, and other sources of ignition.

    How to Store Copic acrea
To help maintain consistent ink flow, we recommend storing Copic acrea pens horizontally. If excess ink remains on the nib after use, gently wipe it off with a damp cloth or wet wipe to help prevent the ink from drying and hardening. After cleaning, replace the cap until it clicks.
If the nib becomes clogged or worn over time, it can be replaced using Copic acrea spare nibs.
For more information on replacement nibs, please visit the product page.
