Cookieless analytics that counts people, not machines
One script tag on your site, 60+ reports on ours. ConvertDash counts real readers, refuses bots, AI crawlers and headless browsers, and names every refusal, so your visitor number is a figure you can check rather than one you hope is right. No cookies, so no consent banner for your cookieless analytics.

The difference
Every refusal in our cookieless analytics is counted, by name
A dashboard that says 88 visitors and a dashboard that says 88 visitors plus 2,470 refused requests are the same measurement. Only the second one can be checked. That is what honest cookieless analytics looks like.
This is one day on a small site, as the Filtered Traffic reports show it. Refused traffic is stored as counters, never as a log: a date, a kind, a name, a page and a number. None of it reaches your visitor count.
AI crawlers and AI assistants are two different things, and most tools mix them up. A crawler reads your site because its owner wants the whole web. An assistant reads it because a person asked a question. There is a human behind the second one, so it gets its own AI Visibility reports. A machine did the reading, so it never lands in your visitor count.
| What arrived | Filed as | That day |
|---|---|---|
| A person reading a page | Visitor | 88 |
| ChatGPT fetching a page because somebody asked it a question | AI assistant fetch | 142 |
| GPTBot, ClaudeBot, CCBot, Bytespider crawling the web | AI crawler | 1,320 |
| Googlebot, Bingbot, Applebot | Search engine | 410 |
| Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, SimilarWeb | SEO tool | 260 |
| Slack, WhatsApp, LinkedIn unfurling a link | Link preview | 96 |
| curl, python-requests, a headless Chrome | Script or headless | 178 |
| A browser on an AWS address claiming to be a MacBook, never touching the page | Data centre | 64 |
How it tells them apart
Four tests our cookieless analytics runs, cheapest first
Nothing here needs a cookie or a fingerprint. It is all things a browser does that a script does not bother to fake.
It says what it is
Most bots, AI crawlers and scanners announce themselves. They are refused by name before anything else runs, and filed under what they are. A claimed identity is verified against published ranges or reverse DNS. Impostors show as Fake.
It sends browser headers
Half of automated traffic now copies a current Chrome agent string. What it rarely copies is everything else a browser sends alongside it.
Somebody was there
Did the page paint, was it shown, and did a person move, tap, type or scroll, or stay two seconds with the tab in front? A headless browser renders. It does not fidget.
It is not a data centre
A browser on a cloud address that claims to be a MacBook and never touches the page is not a reader. iCloud Private Relay visitors are always counted, and VPN visitors who scroll or tap are too.
What you get
Cookieless analytics with a full dashboard, not a counter
In this cookieless analytics dashboard, every section opens on a Glance screen: tiles, a trend, ranked lists. Then you drill in. Filters apply across every report, so one filter answers a question everywhere at once.
From who wrote a page to which AI assistant sent a buyer in your cookieless analytics, plus Explore and the AI Visibility screens.
The visitor identifier rotates every day. IP addresses are never stored. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are honoured out of the box.
One line in the head. It reads authors, page types, missing pages and site searches from what your pages already say.
Explore
Every question on one board. Pick a goal, split by a segment, compare with the previous period, save your own cards. Attribution with revenue per visit, funnels split by device, retention, live now.
Journeys, funnels, retention
Journeys is a Sankey diagram with Start from and End at. Funnels show where the dropped went. Retention is a cohort heatmap. Goals get conversion over time and time to convert.
AI insights, from real models
Seasonal decomposition, unusual days with a cause, level shifts dated, a forecast that states its own backtest error, conversion drivers with confidence intervals. Built nightly, opened instantly.
Numbers you can defend
Sources, channels and campaigns belong to the visit's first pageview. Daylight saving is handled per day. Revenue is read from WooCommerce, Shopify or any other checkout, and each order counts once.
Client links that tell you who looked
One link per client, each its own dashboard: the reports you pick, a fixed range or filter, a password, an expiry. See how many people opened it and when. Embed it on any website, in your own brand.
Bring your history, filter anything
Import past numbers from Plausible, Google Analytics or any export file, with a preview and undo. Filter any report by country, channel or page, as is any of or is none of, and save presets.

AI Visibility
Cookieless analytics that shows what ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude do with your site
Our cookieless analytics recognises twenty one assistants by referrer and by utm_source. Crawlers and
assistant fetches are told apart from the people the assistants send you, and each gets its own screens in your cookieless analytics.
- AI OverviewShare of voice by assistant, week by week. Assistant referrals indexed against the site's own growth. How those readers behave and convert compared with search, with the significance test written out. Revenue from assistants, net of refunds.
- Crawl to ReferralPer page: how often the models fetch it, how often an assistant then sends a person to it, and a documented score that ties the two together. See which pages earn citations and which are read and ignored.
- Crawler AnalyticsWhich AI crawlers come, when, and for what. A robots.txt helper with allow and refuse lines, an llms.txt starter, and a live check of your own domain.
- The classic reports tooAI Assistants, Pages Cited by AI, Fastest Growing Assistants, AI Crawlers and Fetches, Pages AI Reads.
- ChatGPT
- Perplexity
- Claude
- Gemini
- Copilot
Demo data. Assistants do not pass the question that was asked. What can be read is the referrer host and path, and nothing more.
Install
One tag in the head, cookieless analytics in minutes
Sign up, add your site, and paste the tag it gives you. No plugin needed. Cookieless analytics starts counting straight away. Then press Test from my browser to see your own visit arrive, or Check installation to have the dashboard look for problems.
<script defer data-no-optimize="1" data-no-defer="1" data-cfasync="false" nowprocket
src="https://analytics.convertnow.tools/cd.js?k=YOUR_SITE_KEY"></script>
Paste it inside the head on every page. Works on Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Framer and Ghost through their head code settings.
Your dashboard shows the finished line with your own site key in it. The extra attributes keep LiteSpeed Cache, WP Rocket, SiteGround Optimizer and Cloudflare Rocket Loader from delaying or rewriting the tag.

Running your own server? The tag is the same, with your own address in it. See self hosted.
Self hosted
Run ConvertDash cookieless analytics on your own server
The same cookieless analytics dashboard, the same tag and the same 60+ reports, on a machine you control. Your visitor data never leaves it. Every yearly key works here as well as on our hosted service, or pay once for Lifetime.
What you get with self hosted cookieless analytics
- Your Pro Single, Pro Power or Agency key, the same one that works hosted
- Or Lifetime: one payment, every feature, two servers, every future update
- No pageview limit, ever, on any plan
- 1, 2 or 5 servers on one yearly key, such as production and staging
- Your full history, kept for as long as you keep it
- The same 14 day refund as every other plan
What you need
- Docker with Compose, or PHP 8.1 or newer with MySQL 8 or MariaDB 10.6 or newer
- 1 GB of memory. A small VPS is plenty for most sites
- A domain with HTTPS, because your sites load the tag from it
- Shared hosting works too, with two cron lines and no Docker

Questions
Cookieless analytics questions people ask
Will my numbers be lower than Google Analytics?
Usually, yes. Most tools count crawlers, prerenders and headless browsers as people. ConvertDash refuses them and lists each one by name in Filtered Traffic, so you can see exactly what the difference is made of. Visitors are also counted per day, because the identifier rotates daily by default. Sources and channels belong to the first pageview of a visit, so an internal click never shows as direct.
Do I need a cookie banner?
Not for the analytics. Cookieless web analytics needs no banner: ConvertDash sets no cookies and uses no localStorage. The only thing it keeps in the browser is a random visit hint in session storage, which is gone when the tab closes. The visitor identifier rotates daily by default and IP addresses are never stored. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are honoured by default, and you can switch that off. This is not legal advice, and your own counsel gets the last word.
Does it work on my site?
If you can add a script tag to the head, yes. WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Ghost, Framer, Next.js, Nuxt, Astro, Rails, Laravel, Django and plain HTML all work. No plugin is needed. On WordPress a free plugin can paste the tag for you if you prefer.
Hosted or self hosted: which one do I buy?
You do not have to choose. One Pro Single, Pro Power or Agency key works on our hosted service and on your own servers, even both at once. Hosted is the easy one: we run the servers and you paste one tag. On your own server there is no pageview limit and your data stays on your machine. Only the Lifetime licence is self hosted alone.
What does the Lifetime licence include?
Everything Agency has, on your own servers: your brand, client links, Team, the Read API and All sites, with unlimited sites and no pageview limit. Two servers at once, such as production and staging. Every future update. You pay once and it never renews. It does not work on the hosted service; a yearly key works in both places.
Is there a pageview limit when I host it myself?
No. On your own server there is no pageview limit, on any plan, and not even without a key. Your server is the only limit. The pageview allowances apply to the hosted service only.
Can I move my self hosted install to another server?
Yes. Run php bin/convertdash license deactivate on the old server, copy the database and the .env file across, start the new one and activate the key there. Old server already gone? Use the lost key form at the bottom of this page: the email lists your servers and lets you release one. Or email us and we release it for you.
What happens if my server cannot reach yours?
Nothing you would notice. Your install checks its licence against a signature it already holds, so it keeps working offline, and it checks in once a week when it can. A Lifetime licence never expires. A yearly self hosted licence runs to the end of the year you paid for, then the install moves to the free rules. Collection never stops, licence or not.
Can I see or change the code?
No. ConvertDash is licensed, not sold: self hosted, it runs from our Docker images, and the licence does not allow changing the code or removing its checks. Without a key an install runs the free rules on your own data, with no history limit, and your data is always yours.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Every plan, Lifetime included, has a 14 day refund with no questions. Email us and it is done. A refunded key stops unlocking the paid features. Your data stays where it is.
Where is my data stored?
Hosted, on our servers, because your readers' browsers send it there. We hold it to draw your reports. We do not sell it, pass it to anybody, or use it to profile your readers or you. You can export all of it in CSV whenever you like, and ask for it to be deleted. Self hosted, it stays on your server and none of it is sent to us.
What is in the seven day trial?
Everything a paid single site gets: all 60+ reports, Explore, AI insights, full history, events, revenue, exports, client links and weekly emails. You also get All sites and embedding. Your brand, Team and the Read API are Agency features. After seven days the account moves to the free plan: one site, 30 days of history and the core reports. Detail is kept for 90 days and daily totals for good, so upgrading inside three months brings it all back.
What happens if I stop paying?
Collection continues. A hosted account drops to the free plan, which shows the last 30 days and the core reports. Your full history is kept for 30 more days, then the free plan keeps 90 days of detail and every daily total. Come back inside that window and everything returns at once.
Can I show the numbers to a client?
Yes. Every paid plan makes client links under Settings, Sharing: a live dashboard per client with the reports you choose, a password and an expiry if you want them, and a count of who opened it. Pro Single has 3 links per site, Pro Power 10 with embedding on any website, Agency unlimited. Agency and Lifetime add your brand, set once for every site, fixed filters per link, client logins and a monthly client report.
I paid and the page sat there. Did it work?
The payment worked. Keys are issued twice over, once from your browser and once from the payment provider's own callback to our server, so a browser that loses the connection at the wrong second does not cost you a licence. The page keeps checking for two minutes and then tells you the key is coming by email. Do not pay a second time. If nothing arrives, reply to your receipt.

The ten terms in full, covering accounts and servers, your data, refunds and what you may and may not do, are on the documentation page. Nothing in them is a surprise: one yearly key works in as many hosted accounts and on as many of your own servers as your plan allows, a Lifetime key on two of your servers, cancel whenever you like, a full refund inside 14 days, and your data stays yours.
Already have a licence
Need more sites or accounts for your cookieless analytics
Moving up costs the difference between the two plans, once. No proration by days remaining: you are buying sites, accounts and features, not time. Your key stays the same and your renewal date does not move. If you upgrade from inside the dashboard instead, the plan switches the moment the payment clears.
…
One payment, now.
Done. Your licence is upgraded.
Lapsed licence? Renew it first, then upgrade. Going back down a step is a conversation rather than a button: email us and we will sort out the difference. An upgraded key keeps working both ways, hosted and on your own servers. A Lifetime licence already includes everything, so there is nothing to upgrade.
Lost your key
Get a fresh one from your mailbox
We store a hash of your key rather than the key itself, so nobody here can read it back to you. Enter the address you bought with. If it has a licence, it gets an email with a link. The link opens a page with one button; press it and a new key is issued, shown once and emailed. Your current key keeps working until then.
Links last an hour and work once. The old key stops working the moment the new one is issued, so paste the new one under Subscription wherever the old one was in use. Bought your plan inside the dashboard? Then there is no key to lose. The plan belongs to your account, so signing in is all that is needed.
Paid by card
Manage your card subscription
Plans paid in dollars, euros, pounds and other currencies renew through Stripe. Enter your licence key and the address you bought with gets a link to Stripe's billing page, where you can change the card, download invoices or cancel the renewal.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan runs to the end of the year you paid for. Paid in rupees? Use the link in your Razorpay receipt, or just reply to it.
