About CommonTape

CommonTape (commontape.com) is a transaction layer for AI agents: discover, quote, hold, book, modify, cancel and check the status of US home-services jobs (house cleaning first) on a customer's behalf, against rules each business sets. Each business declares its rules: its services, prices, area, hours and capacity.

Why it exists

Agents are becoming the front door people use to get things done, including hiring someone to clean their house. Today almost no independent local business can be found or booked by an agent at all; the ones that can are mostly reachable through a handful of large aggregators. CommonTape is the neutral, honest alternative for the long tail those aggregators don’t reach.

How it works for a business

• Listing is free. Discovery, quotes and holds are free.
• The business allocates a slice of its capacity to the agent channel and sets its own rules.
• It pays a flat fee only on a booking that is completed and confirmed. No subscription, no per-lead fee.
• The customer pays the business directly. CommonTape doesn’t handle job payments.

Where we are

House cleaning businesses across the US list on CommonTape, free, and set their own services, prices, area and hours. We check each business before agents can book it. Agents book through the API, the MCP server or plain links, with the same rules on every door.
