Proud to share that Goldwind had the honour of hosting the ABEEólica Board of Directors meeting at our Camaçari plant in Bahia on July 8. It was a collaborative forum to tackle the most pressing chanllenges for Brazil’s wind sector: how to strengthen local manufacturing, drive technological innovation, and boost the competitiveness of Brazil's domestic supply chain. 💡 Discussions centred on practical pathways for advancing local content, enhancing supply chain resilience, and fostering technology transfer – alongside policy frameworks that can sustain long‑term industry growth. The current Board (term 2025–2027) brings together 19 companies representing the full breadth of Brazil’s wind energy value chain, Laura Porto from Neoenergia serving as Chair; Elbia Gannoum, CEO of ABEEólica The meeting kicked off with Goldwind presentation on its long‑term investment strategy and the restart of local production, followed by plant floor exchanges and tours of both Goldwind facility and the SINOMA blade plant. ✅ Laura Porto, Chair of the ABEEólica Board, commented: “Traditionally our Board meetings are held in São Paulo, but this time we brought members closer to the industry’s reality – and Goldwind made it possible. With the final wind turbine successfully lifted on July 30, the RUISI Wind Power Project marked a major construction milestone for Georgia’s flagship renewable project. 🚀 Secured by Goldwind in 2024 through our proven product reliability, economic efficiency, and strong bankability, the RUISI project represents Goldwind’s first wind power project in Georgia and stands as the largest single-capacity wind farm in the country to date. Located near Gori in central Georgia, the 206MW project features 33 units of Goldwind’s advanced GWH171-6.25MW wind turbines. Designed with superior grid-connection performance and exceptional environmental adaptability, these turbines are perfectly suited to master the complex mountainous terrain and ensure stable, reliable, long-term operation. 🚀 We are thrilled to announce that Goldwind has officially signed the Turbine Supply and Installation contract for the DKT1 Wind Power Project with Wind Energy Holding Co., Ltd. (WEH), a leading renewable energy player in Thailand. This partnership is a landmark event – it marks our first collaboration with WEH and, more significantly, the first entry of a Chinese wind turbine OEM into WEH’s supply chain. 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿-𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝘄 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 Thailand’s wind landscape presents unique challenges, primarily characterized by low wind speeds. Recently, Goldwind Brazil hosted Mr. Uallace Moreira Lima, Secretary of MDIC and Chairman of BNDES, at its manufacturing facility in Camaçari, Bahia. The visit reaffirmed the Federal Government's commitment to strengthening domestic manufacturing and supporting investments aligned with the Nova Indústria Brasil strategy and the energy transition agenda. 👏 👏 During executive discussions, Goldwind shared its long-term strategy for Brazil, addressing industrial competitiveness, local content frameworks, and the strategic value of public financing, alongside emerging opportunities in BESS, repowering, and offshore wind—while reinforcing its dedication to building a robust local supply chain, advancing supplier capabilities, and maximizing local value creation. The Secretary toured the facility, where he observed the company's manufacturing capabilities for both domestic and export markets. The plant has a planned annual capacity of 150 turbines and is on track to reach full production by 2026, with over 86% of its workforce composed of local Brazilian employees. The visit also highlighted the potential for further supplier expansion and job creation, underscoring Goldwind's readiness to support Brazil's industrial and clean energy objectives. Goldwind also accompanied the delegation to the SINOMA blade plant in the same area.
