What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

UX/CX of ezebox.com.au has been greatly improved, hard to show a 'before' pic but the change is dramatic.

SEO project is in its infancy so still too early to post results.

The team at Capital Numbers is extremely responsive.  Being based in Australia, working Australian hours actually works very well as the communication is staggered, I can raise a task in the AM and the team works on and asks questions through my PM, which I can then answer the next day.  Workflow is consistent and manageable.

Further, we use an internal project management tool, Asana, and the Capital team were happy to work with our tool to make comms easier for us.

All projects have been delivered on time and to a great standard with minimal back and forward.  Being a small business, sometimes our style is ambigious and the team at Capital have been both professional and adaptive which is really appreciated!

I wouldn't describe the service as necessarily unique...  The team have delivered to a standard that meets my expectation of a company perpurting to offer digital marketing services.  There are a lot of cowboys in this space so it is refreshing to work with experienced professionals.  The best recommendation I can provide it that I would eagerly recommend Capital Numbers to others and will continue to work with them for the long term.

Capital Numbers was our choice to lead the back-end development of a brand new SaaS solution for the golf space. The initial team created the framework and structure, and then additional team members worked on both API integrations as well as python scripting. Going forward, this team will continue to support with the current work, but also begin to add rules-based automation into the platform.

The product is live and continues to improve based upon feedback from the initial beta users, which has been very strongly positive.

The team was very responsive, usually within hours even though the time changes were significant. Timeliness on delivery was also typically very strong. The leader of the team also often solicited feedback on the primary working members, and when we wanted to make adjustments, they were receptive and proactive to our needs.

They were able to find very strong candidates quickly, and then the onboarding was also easy for each team member. Their flexibility around billing, changes to the team (as work needs changed), and prioritization has been spectacular.

As of now, we don't have any major areas or suggestions for improvement, we have enjoyed the relationship with Capital Numbers and look forward to continuing the journey together.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Project was broken down into multiple milestones as a means to measure progress.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

First of all, I was a single member micro startup developing a full-scale web application. I spent over $30,000 of my own money for them to develop my web application. But I'm almost positive that Capital Numbers, who works with many large-scale Fortune 500 companies, wasn't really the best match for me. So, I can't recommend them for micro businesses. 

A 4-month project took 1.5 years to complete! I will take some blame, but there were many issues from CN regarding delayed delivery, communication (or PM's flat-out ignoring or even caught lying to me), quality assurance, proper requirements gathering, contract-related issues, etc...etc. By the end, I think we were both tired of each other and waiting to move on. 

Overall, I did have a great experience with two (out of four) of my former Project Managers Sujan and Moin. They were very responsive and went above and beyond to develop and deliver my project. I hope CN improves their processes and wish them well going forward!

I've learned that a good PM can really make all the difference! I liked working with a Sujan and Moin as they were very good in communicating. Sujan, even gave me his personal number. Anytime I had an issue, we would talk about it, and it would get solved. He anticipated my needs and provided suggestions that helped my project move forward. So, I would say that Capital Numbers did a great job in hiring a couple of project managers that provided a personalized experience.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Capital Numbers could have done differently?

A bad PM can also really destroy your mindset. I felt that CN numbers didn't do the best job in selecting a couple of the other PMs. Gladly, they no longer work there! There were times I felt ignored for weeks and began to worry that my project code was never going to be delivered. That was scary! Unfortunately, it was a hit or miss when being provided a good PM.

The resources have been helping us build various e-commerce websites and plug-in features for our clients. They’ve also helped us fix bugs and measure page-loading speed. Additionally, they’ve helped us brainstorm collaborative solutions to build new features.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We measure their success based on their ability to deliver on our tasks and requirements. Since I’m a developer, I review their code daily, and 95% of the time, they’ve used best practices to approach their tasks. I also compare the quality of the code with the time it took them to complete it, which is typically good. Furthermore, their code is well-written and easy to follow.

How did Capital Numbers perform from a project management standpoint?

Capital Numbers has executed a clear and easy onboarding process. The project manager uses Teamwork to communicate and assign daily and weekly tasks, which is helpful. They’re very communicative via phone and Slack, and we meet via Zoom. 

They also provide daily reports detailing the code they worked on, which helps our team pick up where they left off and vice versa. Overall, I’ve been impressed with their project management system.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their biggest strength is their development expertise. Capital Numbers is very experienced with Shopify and frontend development.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if they could have more resources with equivalent expertise to help us with projects simultaneously.

The key to success is to engage a technical specialist to help with the project or assign an internal staff member with technical know-how to interpret and understand the developers' work.

After discussing the requirements with the Capital Numbers team, they designed and developed our website using WordPress and PHP. They’ve developed the front- and backend from scratch designed the UI, and carried out testing. They’ve also enabled the site for mobile use. We’re in the final development phase but plan to engage Capital Numbers for maintenance and hosting services post-launch. 

The site is an e-commerce medical platform. Users can visit our site, create an account, and confirm the account with their phone number. Once they create a profile, they can browse various medicines, upload prescriptions, order lab tests, and schedule appointments. They can also ship medication directly to their homes or schedule a time to pick up their medications in person.

We’ve worked with eight team members from Capital Numbers, including Arghadip (Project Manager), Pragya (Backend Developer), Emmanuel (Frontend Developer), and Santi (QA Analyst). We’ve also worked with a technical lead and design lead.

We found Capital Numbers on Google. They had great reviews, so I contacted them to discuss the project.

We’ve invested $22,000 in the project with Capital Numbers.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with Capital Numbers since July 2021, and the partnership is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We haven’t launched the site yet, but it’s about 99% complete, and we’re satisfied with the design and functionality. Capital Numbers has done a great job. 

The site has been very stable throughout this final testing phase, it doesn’t crash when we run automation, and the mobile site works perfectly. The backend is also solid; our changes reflect accordingly whenever we upload products or make adjustments.

How did Capital Numbers perform from a project management standpoint?

Capital Numbers has been very responsive and timely. I’ve changed the requirements and deadlines quite a few times, but they’ve remained flexible throughout the project. 

Our initial project manager left the project after eight months but was responsive up until the very last day. The Capital Numbers team immediately introduced us to Arghadip, who took over the remainder of the project and has been fantastic to work with. Whenever we have queries or emails, he responds within 30 minutes, no matter the time of day. 

We meet every Tuesday and Friday via Zoom to walk through the project, ask questions, and share feedback. We also communicate via email and an internal communication platform. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been most impressed with their ability to execute tasks according to our requirements; they’ve delivered 100% of what we’ve asked for. Capital Numbers has consistently met our deadlines with high-quality results.

Even when I’ve changed the requirements multiple times, they’ve been happy to oblige without pushback. They’ve taken feedback in stride and haven’t charged extra when we’ve asked for changes.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Aside from the difference in time zones, which is totally out of their control, I have nothing Capital Numbers could improve on.

Don’t hesitate to hire Capital Numbers. They will deliver high-quality work within your desired timeline.

The deliverables were good even that, as I mentioned, the initial requirements were a bit poor. It was a challenging project with a bit difficult part because the project was started and he had to deal with a third party code.

Their confidence and excellent communication skills are outstanding. Very fluent.

Well, the only thing we can say is that maybe the developers should focus more on backend or frontend. In our case the backend code was excellent quality but the frontend part was a bit poor. Event that, we could detect soon and focus on the expertise part of CN developer.

With CN, we were looking to have some smart developers onboard who could take over all our frontend dev needs and execute it with precision, since we did not have an inhouse frontend engineer.

The project includes several tasks from carrying out design fixes to our website, both functionality wise and CSS, to align it with our design idea, implementing new features in the UI and creating webpage for a new product. The project is ongoing.

We had a kick-off meeting for a brief on the requirements of the task and a second meeting the same day where we were introduced to the team who would work in coordination to ensure the tasks were taken care of.

The team took a day to understand the several elements of our website and the Figma screen we wanted to fix/ implement. We did quick daily catch ups to iron out any questions/ clarifications. The key deliverable was to ensure the UI on the website mirrors the Figma wireframes our designers had created.

We worked with a team of 3. A project manager, Arghadip - and two developers Saismita and Abhirup Roychowdhury.

We are extremely happy with the attention to detail, the passion and precision with which the team carried out the work. The part of the work that the team has delivered matches our expectation. Our UI looks 10X better and we are extremely glad about the outcomes.

We had a kick-off meeting where the project scope, objectives and timelines were discussed. Subsequently, a detailed project plan was developed and shared with us. After mutual agreement, the team starting development the LMS. There have been several communications during the development between us and Capital Numbers.

The project was delivered into stages consisting into 3 phases. First phase of the project focused on development of back-end trainee registration, materials and zoom integration. Phase two focused upon exam module and feedback from trainees. Third phase was payment module involving payment gateway integration.

Project Manager, Technical Architect, 3 people from design team. Project manager and Technical architect were the primary point of contact. We only dealt with the above, I am sure there was a much bigger team involved in the project at the backend.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Development of LMS automated our trainee registration process and saved us significant time and efforts. It also improved user experience significantly in terms of look & feel, user friendliness and speed. All of these improved our client satisfaction resulting in improved feedback from our clients.

Project management style was participative and there was good progress update from the project manager and technical architect. For communication a system called teamwork was used, which facilitated seamless communication during UAT stage of the project. The project had strict deadlines and all the deadlines were met.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The approach adopted by the company was professional and output quality was outstanding. The project team was definitely rare to find and deserved a five-star rating. To express individual gratitude, I could say the project manager Tulika was very efficient and managed the project effectively. Technical Architect Sushil Kumar was definitely outstanding and the man behind the success of the project. Not to forget the design team, Santanu, Siddhartha and Deepa form an excellent designers.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

As the timelines were extremely strict for the phase 1, there were few post development issues. However, the best part of the team, where there is an issue, they are able to provide a quick turnaround and fix. Hence, we do not consider this as a key issue
