Terms of service
Effective 1 October 2026. By using calert.net you agree to these terms.
The service and who provides it
CAlert notifies you when a certificate for a domain you watch appears in the public Certificate Transparency (CT) logs. It is provided by APPS34, SARL, 48 Rue Claude Balbastre, 34070 Montpellier, France (RCS Montpellier 944 081 553), info@calert.net. "We" and "us" mean APPS34; "you" means the person or organization using the service.
Plans
The Free plan watches up to 3 domains and shows 30 days of alert history. Team ($29 per month) watches up to 50 domains with one year of history; Business ($149 per month) watches up to 500 domains, more on request, with one year of history and priority support. Every plan includes e-mail and webhook alerts, with per-channel rate caps that protect you from floods: when a domain produces more new certificates in an hour than the cap allows, alerts for it are grouped into a summary and, if the flood continues, monitoring of that domain is paused and you are told.
Paid plans are agreed by e-mail and invoiced by APPS34 under the terms stated on the invoice; prices are those stated when the plan is agreed and may change for future periods with notice. Unpaid plans may be moved back to the Free plan.
Your account and your channels
One account per person. You are responsible for what you configure: add only e-mail addresses you control or are entitled to use (each address must be confirmed by its owner before it receives anything) and only webhook endpoints you operate or are allowed to call. Keep webhook secrets confidential and rotate them from the dashboard if they leak.
Acceptable use
Do not use CAlert to send unsolicited messages, do not attempt to circumvent plan limits, rate caps or access controls (for example by multiplying accounts), do not load the service in a way that degrades it for others, and do not use it for anything unlawful. We may throttle, suspend or close accounts, with or without notice, when these rules are broken or when the service is at risk; we will tell you why when we can.
The alerts
Alerts are derived from public CT logs as we receive them through ctlogs.dev. We work to be complete and fast, but certificate authorities, CT logs, mail systems and our own ingestion can delay, duplicate or miss entries, and an alert is not proof that a certificate is valid, malicious or legitimate. The service is a monitoring aid; you remain responsible for your domains, your certificates and the decisions you take on an alert.
Availability and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without a service-level commitment. To the fullest extent permitted by law, APPS34 is not liable for indirect losses, loss of profit or data, or for consequences of a delayed, missed or mistaken alert, and its total liability for any paid plan is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under French law.
Changes and termination
We may change the service, these terms and the plans; material changes to paid plans take effect at the next billing period, and we will announce material changes to these terms on this page with a new effective date. You may stop using the service at any time, delete your domains and channels from the dashboard, and ask us by e-mail to delete your account. We may end or suspend the service, or your access to it, for the reasons above or if we discontinue the service, in which case prepaid, unused periods on paid plans are refunded.
Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.
Law and venue
These terms are governed by French law. Disputes that cannot be settled amicably are submitted to the competent courts of Montpellier, France, without prejudice to the mandatory rights of consumers under their own law.
