Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 378 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people encountered significant product issues, reporting that chargers stopped working, developed faults, broke down prematurely, experienced water damage, or even burned out, leading to unreliable charging. A strong consensus indicates widespread dissatisfaction with customer service, which was often found slow, inefficient, and difficult to reach, relying on automated chats without resolution. Conversely, some people found the chargers easy to set up and effective at reducing charging times or reacting well to solar panels. A few customers also reported positive experiences with specific support, where issues were resolved efficiently or replacements provided under warranty.

It errored out after an hour of charging and I’ve been trying to get it to work for the last few days. It’s a horrible experience since there is no live support and today there is no response at all. I’m close to returning it and going with a supported brand.

I have had a problem with my Wallbox…

I have had a problem with my Wallbox for over 1.5 months now. It simply does nothing. I tried to resolve it via chat, but it didn't work. A number was created so that I would be called back. So far, that hasn't happened. I contacted the store where I bought it because I can't contact them myself. They are polite and do respond. They are now in contact with Wallbox, and every day I have to spend a long time working on my Wallbox again. Nothing works, and I still have a warranty. But by the looks of it, that's of no use to me.

You simply cannot treat your customers like this. They really are supposed to solve this problem. What a nightmare.

Non-existent customer service

This is not about the charger itself, but I would caution people against ordering off the website because it's impossible to modify or cancel an order even seconds after it goes through. I had an order go to a defunct address and had no way of redressing this. Customer service is non-existent and now I have a $980 charge and nothing to show for it.

Good performance but terrible durability.

The charger does its job and we have had no issues....until it stopped recognising when a car was plugged in. Cost $1300 for the charger and $1200 for the install, lasted 2.5 years.
Imwill get a replacement under warranty but have to wonder if the next one will only last 2.5 years as well. Definitely would not recommend.

Wallbox pulsar MAX failed just outside…

Wallbox pulsar MAX failed just outside warranty. "Wallbox Service Support" would do nothing advising me to contact the installer hoping I'd understand. Well I understand Wallbox believe a 2 year product lifespan is acceptable, it isn't. £600 buys a lot of electricity or diesel. Avoid. It's not a 1 star as they did respond in a few hours and were polite.

Wallbox Premium Chargers - not quite!

My Wallbox charger failed just outside the warranty period. An independent electrician inspected the unit and provided a report confirming that the failure was caused by factory-fitted internal component conductor damage within the enclosure. Wallbox's own error logs actually confirmed this manufacturing defect.

Despite clear evidence of an inherent factory fault, Wallbox refused to offer any meaningful support beyond remote diagnostics—which only told us what we already knew. They made it completely clear they would not assist further simply because the warranty had expired.

For a supposedly "premium" charger, this level of service and build quality is incredibly disappointing. On top of the hardware failure, the user interface is clunky and not user-friendly. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for an EV charger. Highly avoided.

Do not buy Wallbox or have it installed.

Like many on here I have had hugely frustrating issues with the Wallbox connecting to the internet or even blutooth to my various devices. I’ve tried to connect to them all both android and apple devices. All have failed to connect. The ‘box’ just isn’t built to maintain connections, or even be updated.
I wouldn’t recommend Wallbox to anyone. Take your money elsewhere where you will find better quality and better customer services which just revert you back to the installer.

Appalling customer service.

My Wallbox kept on getting an error message. Wallbox advised fitting a new cable. They sent me the replacement cable and a promise they would organise a fitter to replace the cable.

That was weeks ago still have not even got a date for the cable to be fitted. They keep on sending me emails asking if the original fitter can’t replace it. I have explained about six times he is no longer working - that’s why they said they would organise for it to be fitted.

It's okay, but I'm missing some information in the app.

When visualizing the charging process, I'm missing an indication of whether charging is currently single-phase or three-phase when using excess PV power. This is only clear to technically savvy users based on the displayed charging power. One has to know that 4 kilowatts cannot be charged via a single phase to know that three-phase charging is currently in progress. (The wallbox is installed in Germany, where unbalanced loads, e.g., 6 kilowatts via a single phase, are not permitted.) Furthermore, I've observed that the entire excess power is never actually charged into the vehicle. For example, if 5 kilowatts are generated from the roof, only 4.2 kilowatts are charged into the car; the rest is fed into the grid. It's clear to me that a certain hysteresis is necessary to avoid disrupting the charging process when a household appliance briefly draws power. It would be helpful if the app explained this. Ideally, it would have some kind of AI that analyzes the current values and then provides a short explanation of what's happening and why the values are as they are.

Unsatisfied user

Unfortunately, slow and inefficient customer support. I wanted to buy spare parts for Wallbox devices, but I was unable to do so. I am especially angry that I bought 4 devices and am not satisfied with them.

UK- 428786 - Charger stopped charging and cannot find Wi-Fi network after broadband change [ ref:!00D1t0vaEj.!500TX0cGh80:ref ]
Very Disappointing After-Sales Support
My Wallbox EV charger stopped working after I changed my broadband provider. The charger could no longer connect to my new Wi-Fi network, making it unusable.
I contacted Wallbox Support expecting practical assistance or a solution. Instead, I received what appeared to be a generic list of troubleshooting instructions, despite already explaining the issue. Because my charger was just out of warranty, they immediately ruled out any repair, replacement, or engineer visit and simply directed me back to the original installer.
I appreciate that warranties have limits, but I expected much better customer support from a company selling premium EV charging equipment. A charger should not effectively become unsupported because of a Wi-Fi connection issue, and it was disappointing that there was no willingness to investigate further or offer any paid repair options.
The response felt impersonal and unhelpful, with most of the email consisting of standard instructions that I had already tried. Customer service should be about helping customers find solutions, not just quoting warranty terms.
Overall, I'm very disappointed with the level of after-sales support and would think twice before purchasing another Wallbox product.

These chargers are not fit for purpose

I have had this charger since Dec 2025 and have honestly only been able to use it about 5 times. The charger cuts out for some reason and a restart doesn't always work. The online help is pointless and abysmal. It takes so long to reply to queries that when you do receive a reply, you may well be in a different country by the time it arrives, resulting in enormous delays and frustration.
