responsible for closing my small business

Absolutely terrible experience with this company. We are a small start up and had our first big event last weekend. All of our funds were taken by card and were on the sumup account- until they suspended us and we lost everything.

The first event was pivotal for us as a small business and we may not be able to continue with our service now as we will not have the money for the stock for our next couple of bookings.

Customer service is a joke, they hung up on my calls, they wouldn’t let me through to speak to a person. I rang 8 times before i reached a human. They kept redirecting me to use the chat bot even though i’d explained i couldn’t access it as my account was locked. I’ve been told twice they’re going to reply to me email but it’s been days and nothing.

DO NOT use this company, they’re single handedly responsible for the closure of my small business.

Be taken with your phone if we are away from the cafe . Another good feature is the payment link option - request money by sending an easy link to follow.

As a busy independent business

As a busy independent business, we rely on our card machine every single day, and SumUp has never let us down. It’s quick, reliable, and incredibly easy to use, even during our busiest periods.

The app makes it simple to keep track of takings, payouts are straightforward, and our customers appreciate how fast and hassle-free it is to pay. As a small business owner, having one less thing to worry about makes a huge difference.

I’d happily recommend SumUp to any independent business looking for a reliable, affordable card payment system. It’s become an essential part of how we run our business.

SumUp is to be avoided

SumUp support and customer service is nought.
I think this statement speaks for itself and I need not elaborate any further.
Avoid them for your sanity and peace of mind.

We have found an alternative supplier and so far, are very happy. (The opposite to round).

A Positive experience

A positive experience. We use the till (shop), invoicing, QR codes, stock management, reporting etc. All features work well and as a consequence we have seen sales increase, more than offsetting the small fee charged, per transaction. Payments are received quickly and the daily payment analysis provides an accurate list of what payments have been received.
