Hertz pco car renting

I had a very disappointing experience with Hertz PCO Rent a Car. I arrived to pick up my booked vehicle, only to be told that the car had been changed without any prior notice. This left me without a suitable vehicle for work.

As an Uber driver, having access to a car is essential. Because of this unexpected change, I lost an entire day of earnings. This is not a small inconvenience—it directly impacted my income.

What is most frustrating is the lack of communication. If I had been informed in advance, I could have made alternative arrangements. Instead, I showed up expecting to start work and was left stranded.

I expect better reliability and customer service, especially from a company supporting PCO drivers. I hope this issue is taken seriously and that steps are put in place to ensure other drivers do not face the same situation.

VERY unreliabel information about late night flight arrivals

Phoned several times to reassure myself that Herz would remain open for a flight scheduled to arrive at Philadelphia Airport at 11:30pm, even if the flight arrived a bit late. I was told they would wait for up to 2 hours. Until my last call - I had called in to possibly change the time of my return flight - in which I was told, quite reasonably, that they MIGHT wait 15 minutes, then they will reopen at 6am. This would, of course, have left me in a terrible situation of having to wait at the airport for over 5 hours. It turned out that other car rental companies are open all night at Philadelphia International airport.

Absolute conmen!!

Check the car guys. They've charged me £500 for a mere scuff that was already on the vehicle. They have probably already charged a dozen previous renters the same amount for the same scuff. Absolute scammers, they charged us more than their competitors but only used them a they are 'reputable'. Seriously DO NOT USE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE CONNED!!

I rented a HERTZ RENT A CAR car at Sydney airport &…

I rented a car at Sydney airport & drove to Noosa Heads. I extended for 2 days, which I advised with plenty of notice.
I had the car for 7 days.
The car ( Toyota Camry) cost me $229/day!! This is so corrupt! I trusted this company! I’ve since been on booking.com & the average price of most cars is around $50/day HERTZ RIPPED ME OFF .. I AM VERY UPSET & ANGRY! I WILL NEVER USE HERTZ AGAIN & I WILL TELL ANYONE THAT WILL LISTEN TO NEVER USE THEM!!🤬🤬

Bad experience indeed

Bad experience indeed. They billed my credit card 2 months after the rental date, claiming that there was a high way tariff's fees. When I asked for a copy/proof of this fee, they did not send one. The company has very poor customer service, especially the billing department where the agents are completely untrained, distracted and unprofessional. My case ended up with having a chargeback through my bank as it was clearly an unauthorized/ possibly fraudulent charge.

After-hours return with no inspection led to bogus damage claim

Rented a car from Hertz at their Vernon Drive location in Vancouver (inside No. 1 Collision) while my car was being repaired. Returned the vehicle after hours, handed the keys to an employee who drove the car away. No inspection was done at return.The next morning — 14 hours later — I received an email claiming damage to the front bumper. I disputed it immediately. The car had been driven by someone else after I returned it and before any inspection took place.Hertz filed a claim directly with my insurance (ICBC) without my knowledge or consent. After nearly a year of back and forth, I paid a settlement just to make it go away and protect my credit. I'm not convinced the damage happened while the car was in my possession, but their process makes it impossible to prove otherwise when they don't inspect at the time of return.If you return a car after hours to this location, take photos and video of every inch of the vehicle. You have no protection otherwise.Never renting from Hertz again.

Avoid Hertz like the plague

I will never rent a car from Hertz ever again. They hire hood rats that will steal anything you leave in the car. I left $500 in an envelope in the door pocket of the car. I came back for it 3 minutes later and the car was gone. I told the person at the counter what happened at that I need to find the car immediately. and they did not care. Some of the employees were trying to find a cell phone that one of their employees had stolen out of a car and tried to help, but to no avail. Some of their employees are thieves and management does not care. I filed a lost item claim and Hertz never bothered to respond at all. Hertz sucks!! Rent a car from someone else!!

Incorrect and dishonest practice…

Incorrect and dishonest practice carried out by the company which, without informing me in any way at the time of signing the contract, applied me extra charges never requested.

In particular, I wonder if the "full tank" option, which involves paying full petrol whatever the final consumption, is a correct and legal practice or a theft.

In my case, I paid more than 100 dollars for a full tank and, during the rental period, I traveled no more than 100-120 km.

I wonder why Hertz should keep the gasoline I paid for and didn’t consume.

Among other things Hertz did not report the real km on the receipt and never answered my request to provide them. Awful customer service reply after 1 month.
No attention to the customer, no one should never rent from them.

Awful customer service

4 issues with the car. When I try to contact customer services, they are not currently answering any calls. The web chat is unable to help. Advised to email but the chat has no idea how long they will take to answer. Tye only take phone calls to book a rental, but no phone number to sort problems
