I collected my car from Munich Airport
I collected my car from Munich Airport. It was quick and easy with no problems at all. The customer service representative Adelina was great. Super helpful and she even upgraded our car which was lovely of her! She also advised us what we needed to do to drive to Austria and avoid any fines. She really went above and beyond and it was much appreciated. Returning the car was also hassle free. Would definitely hire with them again next time.
- Fraud - NEVER AGAIN
1 Star – Never Again Enterprise
I had a deeply disappointing and disrespectful experience with Enterprise. This is the normal way to handle things because all three employees acted in line. I had booked a car through Check24, submitted my details, and the payment had already been deducted from my account. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was told it had already been given to someone else — according to Enterprise, a booking apparently becomes void after just fifteen to thirty minutes, and the vehicle is simply handed over to someone else.
When I asked what would happen with my already-paid booking, I was told dismissively that this was merely a "reservation confirmation," not a binding booking — so they had no obligation to provide me with anything. At the same time, they claimed they had never received my payment, even though the deduction was clearly visible on my bank statement. To this day, I have not received a refund and now have to involve a lawyer to get my money back. I was deliberately refused any written confirmation that no car was available — it seems they are well aware of their own mistakes but are unwilling to put anything in writing.
The staff's attitude was condescending and arrogant. When I calmly but firmly made clear that I would not accept being spoken to that way, it only led to brief irritation and no real solution. I explained that I urgently needed to visit someone in the hospital, but this was simply ignored — and it seems that this very need for a vehicle was seen as leverage: instead of looking for a solution, such as checking when other cars would be returned that day, or offering an already-returned vehicle, I was suddenly shown a nine-seater van, for which I would additionally have to pay 50 euros — despite still not being offered any replacement for the car I had already paid for. That vehicle was also completely unsuitable for a drive through three federal states.
Particularly shocking: it is apparently well known among self-employed professionals and other car rental companies that Enterprise advertises more vehicles on its website than are actually available. I had already experienced this myself in previous bookings — the car I had booked was unavailable three times before, and I was given some other vehicle instead, often not even the same brand and with different fuel consumption.
This kind of experience causes damage in every context: for business trips, it leads to major delays, the need to reorganize, frustration, anger, and difficulty concentrating. For vacations or day trips, it ruins the mood right from the start. I therefore cannot recommend booking with them under any circumstances — it is unpleasant in every case and ultimately harms everyone involved.
My advice: Anyone booking with Enterprise should, to be safe, record or document everything from the moment they walk into the branch. But then still you have to hire a lawyer.
For comparison: at another car rental company, a staff member genuinely went out of their way to find out when a suitable car would be returned and offered me a spontaneous, fair solution. So there clearly are companies that care about their customers — with Enterprise, I felt none of that. In my view, people and companies who behave this disrespectfully do not deserve trust or money.
WARNING: Enterprise/Alamo – Predatory Overcharging & Fraudulent Fees!
If you are considering renting a car from Enterprise (or their partner Alamo) at Brandenburg Airport, stay far away. They engage in predatory, unauthorized billing practices and completely ghost you when caught violating their own agreements.
I booked an Enterprise car through Check24 with guaranteed all kilometers included, a pre-paid premium airport location fee, and full casco insurance. I returned the car on time to the exact same location, transparently reporting two minor scratches that I fully intended to take responsibility for. Instead of handling this professionally, Enterprise immediately withheld my deposit and made an unauthorized charge to my account worth roughly 130% of that deposit—with absolutely zero breakdown or explanation.
The Breakdown of Their Fraudulent Charges:
After writing to them 5 times via email and calling 3 times, I finally forced a representative to send me an invoice breakdown. It is an absolute scam:
- The "6,000 km Limit" Lie: They charged me a massive fee for allegedly going over a "6,000 km limit." I have provided them clear, written proof that my booking explicitly included all kilometers. In a recorded phone call, their support agent actually doubled down on this bogus limit. This is predatory behavior, plain and simple.
- Double-Charging Fees: They charged me an extra "premium location" fee. I picked up and dropped off the car at Berlin Brandenburg Airport exactly as booked, and this fee was already fully paid for in my initial reservation. There is zero justification for charging it twice.
- Withholding Insurance Documents: While the damage charge itself is fair, Enterprise refuses to provide the necessary itemized breakdown of the repairs. Because they are withholding this documentation, I am blocked from claiming the money back from my Casco insurance.
Zero Customer Service & Accountability
It has been a full month since this nightmare started. Enterprise has completely ignored all 5 of my emails, leaving me stuck with automated replies. Their phone support is entirely useless, offering excuses while keeping the money that does not belong to them.
Enterprise/Alamo is actively violating booking contracts and betting on the fact that customers will just give up. I am now forced to involve my lawyer to recover my unauthorized charges. Save yourself the financial extortion and severe headache: NEVER rent from Enterprise or Alamo.

Markus has helped me wonderful each time I booked a car with Enterprise and Alamo. The return of the car also was good. Thanks for the good service Markus!
Complaint ignored
Complaint ignored – Disappointing customer serviceI filed a legitimate complaint after my rental at Enterprise Ankara. Unfortunately, the company is completely ignoring my issue. I have not received any response to my emails for weeks. It is highly unprofessional to ignore customers as soon as problems arise. Mistakes happen, but ghosting customers is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this location and demand an immediate response to my case!
I had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience…
I had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience with Alamo / Enterprise Germany. The local branch operates a sophisticated scam scheme. Essentially, they provide you a car without a collection inspection, saying that everything with the car “is fine”, but then claim that you made scratches to the car during your rental period. At the return inspection I was told that all is good and the car had no issues, but next day I received an email with a claim for damage and a charge of the security deposit of 1700 Euro.
In my instance, I knew that I did not scratch the car, pushed back and notified the credit card company. The next day they sent me an email with an apology, admitting that the car had a minor scratch prior to my rental starting. Be mindful of the dishonest operation at the local branch in Hannover Airport and take lots of photos at the start of your rental!

Disappointed Enterprise
I had a confirmed Enterprise reservation at Berlin Brandenburg Airport, booked through EnjoyTravel.com.
Due to exceptionally long passport control queues at the airport, I arrived at the rental desk approximately 50 minutes later than expected. I was then informed that my reservation had been cancelled because I had not arrived within the required timeframe. Despite explaining that the delay was caused by airport procedures completely outside my control, no flexibility or reasonable solution was offered.
What made the situation even worse was that the only alternative was to make a new reservation at a price several times higher than my original booking.
I contacted Enterprise customer service, hoping they would take the circumstances into account, but unfortunately no meaningful assistance was provided.
Airport delays, especially passport control delays, are common and unavoidable. For airport pickups, reservations should not be automatically cancelled after such a short period without considering the reality of international arrivals. A more customer-friendly policy for airport locations would prevent situations like this.
Very disappointing experience and poor customer service. Based on how this situation was handled, I would not recommend Enterprise.
Frustrating and Confusing Service
My experience with Enterprise in Germany was not good. The car rental process was quite complicated and unclear. I’ve rented with other companies before, and everything was much simpler and more transparent.
The employee who assisted me offered the full tank fuel option, but never explained that if I didn’t use all the fuel, I would not receive a refund for the remaining amount. That kind of information should be clearly explained from the beginning.
Additionally, when they gave me the final summary and total cost, they said there was still an extra amount to pay for the rental, even though Booking had already charged me the amount shown in the reservation. The whole experience ended up being confusing and frustrating.
I definitely would not rent with Enterprise again or recommend it. I’d rather avoid these kinds of unnecessary complications.
Very bad
Very bad, do not rent a car from them!!! You get scammed and they take your money out of your account!!
AVOID shocking Scams run by this well known company
AVOID! We were shocked by this scam being run by such a well known car hire company. We booked last year and were charged £1000 before we even made it to the airport gate for damage Enterprise had already recorded before we rented the car. Took 8 weeks to get a refund with no apology. This year we booked again (why?) and they waited two months before charging us £1300 for the same, damage already photographed and recorded. Another admin hassle to sort out and they have apparently ' dropped the charge as an act of goodwill'. It even says on the internet that Munich Airport Enterprise are running this scam and threads from scammed renters confirm it. DO NOT BOOK!!!
Booked a premium vehicle (Audi A6)
Booked a premium vehicle (Audi A6), but it was not available at pickup.
I was given a lower-class vehicle (Passat SW) with minimal price difference and no real alternative.
This is not an acceptable substitution for a premium booking.
Customers should not be forced into lower categories due to availability issues.
Very disappointing experience.

Shameful experience.
Today, April 18th, 2026.
Customers left stranded and lied to about their rights.
Terrible experience with Alamo at Frankfurt-Hahn. I had a confirmed reservation made 45 days ago and fully paid for a one-week rental. They sent a cancellation email while my flight was already in the air. After staying at the airport hotel and arriving at the counter at 8:00 AM, I was told they had zero cars available—not even a higher or lower category. Nothing.
I asked to be taken to another branch; they claimed that since it was Saturday, branches closed at 12:00 PM and it "made no sense." I then requested a transfer to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) to get a car there, but they lied again, claiming there were no cars available there either. Furthermore, they refused to provide a formal complaint form or any written proof of their lack of availability, falsely claiming I had "no rights" because the contract hadn't started yet since no keys were handed over. This is a complete lie intended to avoid legal liability for breach of contract.
I was forced to make an emergency booking with another company, paying €623 for the only car they had left—nearly triple my original price. Do not book here unless you want to be left stranded at the airport.
Airport Palma der Mallorca
Airport Palma der Mallorca
The overall experience with Enterprise was mixed and unfortunately left a negative impression.
At pickup, the staff was friendly and the shuttle service worked well. The driver was very helpful and welcoming. We also received a brand new car (Seat Arona), which was in excellent condition.
However, the rental process involved constant upselling. We were repeatedly encouraged to upgrade the car and purchase additional insurance products. While this is common, the persistence felt excessive.
We eventually agreed to an additional roadside assistance package for €100, as we were told we would otherwise have to organize and pay for towing ourselves in case of a breakdown.
A major issue occurred at drop-off. We were clearly informed at pickup that the car had a half-full tank and should be returned the same way. However, at return, we were told that their policy only allows “full or empty” and that half-full is not accepted.
Despite returning the car with more fuel than we received (approximately 3/4 full), we were told we would be charged €150. This was confusing and did not make sense, as it contradicts the initial instructions.
After discussion, a partial refund was processed, but the situation felt inconsistent and unprofessional. It created unnecessary stress at the end of the trip.
In summary, while the car and some staff were good, the unclear fuel policy and aggressive upselling significantly affected the overall experience.
We would not choose this rental company again.
We renteDeposit Withheld Without Justification – 6 Months of No Resolutiond a car from Memmingen and…
We rented a car from Memmingen and returned it early in the morning at Memmingen Airport parking.
A month later, our deposit had still not been refunded. After contacting them, we were told we had exceeded the mileage limit. In reality, we had driven less than half of the allowed kilometers under the contract.
For the past six months, we have been trying to recover our deposit. We only receive generic responses saying they will get back to us — but nothing happens.
Unprofessional handling and poor customer service. I do not recommend this company.
National Desk Berlin Airport is unreachable
I mistakenly left a personal belonging in the car last Friday at 4:30PM at Berlin airport . back home late in Friday night, Saturday morning, Trying to call the Berlin airport desk, It appears IMPOSSIBLE to get someone on the phone from customer service to call car returned people at the Berlin airport . no one knows how/what to do for this problem? After 48h I still do not know if my belonging is definitively lost or not.... Bad experience for me
Overcharged for an entire day + dirty car with oil lack
had an extremely frustrating and frankly unacceptable experience with Netprise.
I was charged for services that do not reflect the actual usage period, and despite providing clear evidence (including timestamped documentation), the company refused to correct what is obviously an overcharge. This is not a minor billing discrepancy—it shows either a lack of proper tracking systems or a complete disregard for basic customer fairness.
What is particularly concerning is the absence of transparent time-recording or verification mechanisms. In any professional service context, especially one involving rentals or usage-based billing, accurate tracking is the bare minimum. The fact that this is missing—or ignored when challenged—is highly problematic.
Customer service has been equally disappointing. Instead of acknowledging the issue or offering a reasonable adjustment, the response was rigid, dismissive, and entirely unhelpful. There was no attempt to resolve the situation in a customer-oriented way, no goodwill gesture, and no accountability.
This experience leaves the impression that Netprise prioritizes extracting maximum payment over maintaining trust or long-term customer relationships. I would strongly advise others to double-check all charges and document everything carefully if dealing with this company.
Overall: Poor transparency, inadequate systems, and unacceptable customer handling.
Awful experience
Very rude, disrespectful customer representatives. Staff was ignorant, not very knowledgeable at all.
Not very helpful at all. Complete wast of time. Truly awful experience, despite paying lot of money. Don't use enterprise car hire at Frankfurt Airport.
Very disappointing experience with…
Very disappointing experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car Germany.
Before starting my rental, I carefully documented the vehicle condition with photos and a full video. The documentation clearly showed multiple scratches on the vehicle as well as a missing rear logo. As instructed by Enterprise staff, I sent this evidence by email before the rental began, and I also received confirmation that my email was delivered.
Despite this, I was later charged €1,500 for alleged damage without any proper explanation and no proof that any new damage occurred during my rental.
Since then, I have:
• Contacted both the Ulm and Oberhausen branches
• Been redirected between locations with no clear responsibility
• Resent all evidence including timestamps from my phone
• Sent multiple follow-up emails
However, I have still not received a clear response or resolution.
This level of communication and handling is not what I expected from a reputed international company. Charging the full excess amount without proper justification and then not responding to the customer is extremely disappointing.
I would still prefer to resolve this matter directly, but if this issue is not addressed, I will proceed with a formal chargeback and further escalation.
Price of Petrol
The Employee at the desk impliciatly told me that it , given war in Iran, would be cheaper to let Enterprise fill up the car with Petrol, as the cost pr. Liter was 2 EUR. The price was stated on a poster hanging on the wall. Now they have invoiced 3,78 EUR/l. I had lots of time to fill it up, but didn’t because og his statement.
Now I want to complain but can only get to a callcenter in US, which is closed. Not good service!
I would give 0 stars - But need to give 1
I was trying Enterprise for the first time, now it will also be the last :-(
