HYDRA H6 by DR. PEN Fails to DELIVER

Terrible delivery system to go with a “released too soon” device. The new HYDRA Pen Device should send Dr Pen back to the design lab to try again. The device FAILS to actually add a useful, quality automated infusion pen to the Dr Pen catalogue.

CARTRIDGE issues: the quality of the needles in the cartridges has deceased. I expected their prior standards to be held if not exceeded by this, the latest Dr Pen skin needling device.

The serum delivery canister is under the needle heads and suffers flow and dump issues far from the marketing claims of the new device. To fulfil the role of a true automated precision infusion delivery system Dr Pen needs to design a a combined serum canister with hollow needles below the canister. Some quality sterile sealed serums that won’t be wasted by the delivery system are appropriate here. Time to up their game not decrease their quality as they sadly have done with this HYDRA H6 device.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: The customer service experience has been just as poor in 2026. The device is sub-par for a brand I’ve used for a decade now.

INTEGRITY & TRANSPARENCY ISSUES: They hide negative reviews on the SHOP App but I feel so strongly that this device is not meeting the claims in the advertising and marketing information that I want to do this Trust Pilot Review.

BATTERY ISSUES: The battery life goes from 5-2 lights in just one 30 minute session leading me to question the claim of 4 hours also. Faulty battery? Not sure but my tried and trusted microneedling pen (which I replaced with this New device) lasts hours.

CONCLUSION: This is NOT it. For anyone looking for a serum infusion needling system that is A. High quality and B. Well priced you may have to stick with the manual versions on the market for now. For me the front runner for your hard-earned money is the QURE 24K gold-plated, hollow needle delivery system. The serums are sterile, infusion quality and reasonably priced as are their single use TRUE INFUSION needle tops.

For the budget conscious like myself, their regular specials bring the serums down to $20 per 4ml which easily covers face, neck and decolletage. The price is in the actives and the sterile packaging costs. To get these in a salon would cost hundreds per session.

Couldn’t be more disappointed with the Hydra Pen and cartridges. Stick with the older Pens if you love your DR Pen. Try other options if true infusion beneath the skin of actives is your goal. I will be.

Note: This is a true review. It’s an unpaid review. I have NO AFFILIATION with the QURE Brand nor any other aesthetic skin care brand. I am a Holistic Wellness Counsellor and Health, Ageing and Aesthetics Counsellor and Clinician (Australia).

Cheap imitations

Cheap imitations. I was expecting a quality professional product, but the packaging and the pen itself are cheap invitations. Could have easily got something exactly the same for about $100 from any other website.
Totally disappointed, and now they won’t even refund me or let me return it.

Delivery was fast but...

Delivery was fast, but the LED mask is quite tight around the eyes. Only for 10 minutes use but incredibly uncomfortable for that whole time.

Great product for the price

Great product for the price. Great delivery too. Supplied in a tamperproof packet.
My only complaint the hard plastic casing the kit comes in, had several cracks. Don't know if it occurred before or during transport. Only using for myself. But if I was giving as a present this would be a problem.

Illegal Handling of Shipping Fees!

Long story short: Dr. Pen has ILLEGALY kept the shipping cost I previously paid for an order that was not delivered to me due to their lack of proper documentation!

I recently placed an order with Dr. Pen Australia, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. My order, placed on August 16th, was returned to the sender due to missing documentation. This issue, as confirmed by the company, was a result of their error/missing documentation on their end, and not due to any fault on my part.

While Dr. Pen Australia promptly refunded the cost of the items, they did not address the shipping fee, which is problematic given that the failure to deliver was due to their oversight. According to their shipping policy, additional shipping charges apply for re-shipment, but it does not clearly state how shipping fees are handled in cases of company error. Therefore, they cannot refuse to refund the shipping cost in this case.

Tracking Information Breakdown:
> The parcel was picked up on August 19th and moved between various Sydney facilities until August 29th, when it was marked as "Delivered"—but not to me. It was returned to Moorebank, NSW, the original sender’s location.
> This confirms that the package never left the Sydney area, and the failure to deliver was due to their oversight.

Despite my attempts to resolve this issue directly with their customer support, I have not received a satisfactory response or refund for the shipping cost. This lack of clarity and fairness in addressing issues caused by their own errors has been frustrating.

Given my previous positive experiences with Dr. Pen Australia, this recent experience has been disappointing. I urge the company to review their policies and handle such situations more equitably. As a customer, I believe it is only fair to be reimbursed for shipping costs when the failure to deliver is due to the company's mistake.
