I finished the program recently, and it completely changed the direction of my career. I joined because I felt undervalued and underpaid, and the Academy gave me a real path into a field where my skills matter. The flexibility, transparency, and ongoing support were outstanding, and even after graduating, I still feel backed by the team.

If you’re stuck in a role that doesn’t reflect your worth—coding experience or not—this program is a legitimate, affordable way to move into a growing field. I’m grateful for how much it’s helped me level up.

I left one review regarding the DE Academy. But, I wanted to follow up and write a review regarding a particular staff member, my Success Coach Ryan O. He has been awesome! I meet with him every few weeks. He gives me certain action items that I need to focus on and overwhelmingly has offered to help, and has pointed me to many, many resources available from the Academy to help. I’ve been working through learning SQL. Going through the lessons, the problems/questions, and now the interview questions/problems. It’s…definitely been a challenge. I’m a career changer and have used other programs and am a little familiar with Python. But, SQL I’ve never used before this program. I’m working on preparing for the Advanced SQL Mock Interview. I expect to be ready for that within the next few weeks. I’ve gone from never using SQL to being prepared for interviews (at least with SQL)! Despite it being challenging, Ryan has helped me tremendously! I can’t say enough good things about him! He always took the time to learn about me, and where I was struggling. Then, provided me with praise and support, and the tools necessary to overcome those challenges. If you join the program and happen to get partnered up with Ryan, consider yourself lucky! He’s great!

Roughly 90 days into the program and thrilled with the experience thus far.

Curriculum is well-designed. Training modules are challenging at times, but very easy to consume. Tons of support available when completing assignments. Staff is both knowledgable and VERY responsive whenever help is needed. In addition to a team of SME's I have at my disposal, they assign you a Success Coach (Cristian is a Rock Star!).

I had spent well over a year attempting to self tutor on Cloud architecture and AI through Coursera and a boat load of newsletter subscriptions. Was lacking direction in identifying and prioritizing which topics to tackle next. Felt like I was chasing my own tail in circles and not making any real progress. There were always additional pieces of tech that I would quesstion whether or not I should pursue, because I was unsure which ones were critical and which were irrelevant.

I am enrolled in the TPM (Technical Project/Program Manager) track. They have a well-defined training pipeline laid out for me. So no more second-guessing what topic(s) to tackle next.

They also provide job placement assistance, which was going to be major hurdle I would've faced without this program. There are resources for interview prep, including (I believe) mock interviews. The instructors have office hours available throughout the week for 1:1 tutoring and Q&A.

As part of the curriculum, there are several hands-on capstone-style projects that are required of students. So, you come away with an actual project portfolio you can share with prospective employers -- which is a HUGE benefit in my case, as I am pivoting from a background in data storage & protection to data engineering skills specific to AI projects/environments.

Not only does Data Engineer Academy have an well forumlated personalized plan depending on your experience, but their coaching availability and extensive library of any question you might have is extremly helpful in helping master skills instead of just being able to pass a test. What I found to be the most helpful is the mock interviews along the way paired with the feedback is the real game changer. I COULD learn all this on my own but being able to talk this through with a live person and have them notice my weakpoints has drasticlly helped in my confidence and mindset moving forward in persuing a Data Engineering role.

Learning and working with Data Engineering Academy was the right choice. There are a lot of learning academies online but there is a huge difference with DEA. The coaches and instructors actually care about your progress and want to make sure you are getting everything you can out of the courses. Curriculum is extensive but completely doable, even without a tech background.

Amazing program. Tremendous value for money. Excellent education and training materials. Coaching is top notch. Resume and professional training is on point. All of the live Q/A and training sessions are outstanding. They also have continual mindset training, how to communicate, and how to focus on delivering on the 80/20 rule. Lastly, instead of certificates, they provide projects and evaluations that give you real-life skills, system design and experience you can take into the interview and professional career.

The instructors are very hands on and are able to be utilized as much as you need. The only thing to remeber is they will not come to you, YOU must go to them for help. There is an abundance of resources that DEA provides for you you just have to remeber that theyare there! ask questions, show up to AMA meets, read the "cheat sheets" and manuals. The only way I could have started from 0 to learning the ins and outs of a data engineer is with DEA.

I have been going through the program with DE Academy for a little over two and a half months now. So far the experience has been very good. The program provides expert training for the high-growth field of data engineering so I can increase my earning potential. Beyond just teaching technical skills, they actively help you break into the data engineering specialization and understand exactly what it takes to get your resume noticed and land a role. The program is highly personalized and was tailored to my specific background and knowledge gaps. For example, if you already know SQL, you can fast-track past the basics and focus heavily on filling your actual knowledge gaps. Also, their program is very much like a "Personal Trainer" style of motivation, organization, and accountability. The staff is incredibly hands-on, touching base regularly to monitor progress, test your skills, keep you motivated, and adjust your plan whenever life events create scheduling challenges. And whenever you get stuck on complex technical concepts, expert help is readily available to support your hands-on learning. Ultimately, I'll know if this remains a five-star experience when I reach the end and land a role but so far, it looks like if I simply do my part and remain disciplined as a student, there's no reason why I wouldn't be successful. I can happily report that they are delivering on their end of the partnership. I'm Super Happy ... easy to give five stars.

I really am enjoying my learning experience with Data elEngineer Academy! The training modules are easy to understand and makes learning simple! The coaches really do provide support and motivation to keep you moving forward even of you feel like you can't fo it. They stay with you and do their best to encourage you to just keep going. This was something I really needed because I was so scared to start, thinking it would be to much, but my coaches kept checking in on me and assuring me I was not alone.
