they dont fix problems but they push you to buy new machines

Despite the chill towers in our property are faulty since 45 days , Daikin Air Conditioning Italy managed to send their technician 4 times , made us wait weeks for several spare parts needed ( every inspection would require different spare parts ordered.. ?? ) and at the end of the whole process we are still back to square one , with chill towers not functioning... Daiking Air Conditioning Italy are such poorly organised in Sardinia Islands that their Main support center is located at more than 160 Km in North East Sardinia whereas there are plenty of Daikin technicians in the North West part of the island at 5 minutes drive they are not allowed to give assistance , not even in an emergency situation. Besides their lack of Empathy , the Daikin Management is never reachable , as it seems they are always busy in meetings , but they dont reply at mails if not weeks after weeks. Their attitude and services have nothing to do with the more organised and professional Management in Middle East and Asia where i have had 30 years of experience. Their after sales customer care is a DISASTER, they should learn from their colleagues in other geographical areas. CUSTOMER CARE in Sardinia is awful , congrats to their management

They have automatic web pages and don’t train technicians

They have automatic web pages and chat-bot. As our system is not working (installed in the winter, tried late May) and our local installer is not capable (too much to do, not sufficient training of technician) I turn to Daikin.
Their chatbot left me waiting for one of their agents to become available for 15 minutes before reloading.
After putting in model number and serial number a few times (yes they don’t store that anywhere) i give up.
I’ll try the sms link they send when you contact customer service.
I give 3 stars for now, as if I had a low cost system (half the price) my wife would have nagged me saying it did not work because I saved money.
Personally - feel like a fool paying double for a non working system, I am sure the competition can not do worse …

This must be the worst experience ever

This must be the worst experience ever. We got a whole setup from Daikin, solar panels, heating, cooling, etc... It just doesn't work... The heating goes on when the air conditioning should be working, and there's no hot shower water. Every day a visit from our Daikin friends, but no change... HORROR... I thought by buying Daikin I would get quality... Forget it! STAY AWAY

Daikin Onecta app want your personal data!

Yesterday I finally decided to install the app Onecta to controll my office Aircon and the Air purifier. The app starts asking my name, lastname and if you want to insert your aircon and air purifier tools the app starts asking your location, your home and room position.. Terrible if you think that in the EU we have a strong user protection law.. I immediately deleted the app and I will refuse myself to give all this data to this company. Daikin aicon and airpurifier are very expensive units and I will not tollerate that they want to use the personal data of their users. In the EU we have to be more strong to refuse such behaviours: If you pay so much it's unacceptable that Daikin also takes possession of your personal data for its business! I will write about my experience on various forums and I will give one star to the company!

Deplorable, does not honor warranty, zero customer service

Deplorable, dishonest, does not honor warranty, zero customer service

It’s difficult to fully convey the extent of my frustration and disgust with Daikin A/C Italy SPA, its accredited repair service, and non-existent customer service, in an ongoing 2.5 year saga of incompetence and dishonesty.

I purchased a Daikin Altherma 3 Integrated R32 system in March 2022. Besides the standard 2 year warranty, I purchased an additional 3 year warranty extension at the time of installation. After a mere 3 months of use (June 2022), the internal unit that houses the hot water tank started leaking an average of 1-2 liters of water per day. The Daikin accredited repair service was called and determined that the leak was caused by a significant temperature variation in the technical room where the machine was installed leading the boiler to “sweat,” create condensation, and leak. The plumber intervened and added additional insulation around the machine’s external pipes. This did not resolve the issue and the tank continued leaking.

By September 2022 when the outside temperature had significantly cooled and the boiler was still continuously leaking 1-2 liters of water per day and after, again, opening the machine to attempt to find the source of the leak, it was determined, as we all knew from the start, that the boiler itself presented a factory defect. The technician made a request to Daikin to replace the defective boiler. In early October 2022, Daikin agreed to replace the boiler 2022 after requiring the technician to conduct a final verification as to the source of the leak. Besides noting that the insulated stainless steel water had a hole somewhere, the source of the leak was never identified or located. The water tank was finally replaced at the end of January 2023.

Daikin’s delays at replacing the defective water tank cost me 10 months of my warranty as Daikin patently refused to issue a new warranty period for the new water tank. The new water tank worked as intended for 15 months when it, too, started leaking 1-2 liters per day. Technicians were called again and without finding the source of the leak, determined that there was a hole somewhere in the stainless steel tank again. After multiple calls, emails, and testing our water, Daikin limited itself to indicating that the chlorine levels in our water are higher than the European norm and, as a result, will neither honor our warranty nor replace or find a solution to the problem.

Nowhere is it written on any Daikin materials that water must have chlorine levels under a specific threshold. We had the water tested as well and, indeed, our chlorine levels are 40mg higher than the European norm. However, the lab that tested our water asserted that it is impossible for our chlorine levels, which are the norm in our area, to be considered corrosive to the extent of being able to punch holes in a stainless steel tank.

And that’s the conclusion after 2.5 years of problems. No acceptance of fault or responsibility from Daikin, complete dismissal of their own warranty and paid extended warranty, and deplorable customer service and assistance.
