Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs, they lie and gaslight you, they refuse to accept any wrong doing and when you challenge them, they immediately claim that you are being aggressive and rude, they are nothing but narcissists.

Awful company

Awful company! I had several loans with amigo with my mom as a guarantor. As I had paid off my loans I was eligible for the amigo loan scheme. However as my money was paid into my moms bank (I was really ill so she took over my finances) when it came back the amount I was owed it amounted to £5m(which I’ve had in 3 instalments! They’ve worked their way out of giving their customers the correct amounts owed to them by going into a scheme that allows them to pay a tiny percentage of the interest owed! The staff are rude and unhelpful, they give incorrect advice or coming to give the correct t advice. They prey on people that are desperate and then still con them. I had an email today saying I would be receiving £1.81 as a second instalment of the £5 I’m owed. It’s actually laughable!

Amigo Loans

Just watched a previous BBC Rip Off Britain report on Amigo.
What an utter disgrace.
Parasitic practices.
They are no longer offering loans, APR 49.9%!, and are in the process of part paying back borrowers and guarantors monies that they have been ordered to by the relevant authorities.
Chilling!

Absolutely horrible

If I knew then what I know now I would absolutely never take out a loan with this company.
Horrendous service, take advantage of vulnerable customers and you basically pay back for the rest of your life.
Please never think of taking out loans with them.

Amigo scheme told me that I was due…

Amigo scheme told me that I was due money back for a refund. Sent bank details and they tell you they paid you but no payment received. Then you have to jump through hoops to show them you didn't get the money. Do not use them they are not genuine and they will not pay you

Awful company

Awful company . Unhelpful and poor for your credit rating . I was a guarantor and because they couldn't change payment dates to 4 weekly instead of monthly to make things simpler I ended up with a default even though they didn't contact me to tell me.the primary lender had missed a payment by a week . Shocking company should be banned from lending imo

@amigoloans beware

@amigoloans beware, Amigo Loans is a scam, they are not paying out. It is a conn the recent payout scheme. They are lying, like they did when they were running. They are ignoring claims made against them and advising they have done things, when they have not. Is fraud.

I see they are rejecting countless claims. I am fighting for a claimant who paid off their loan, owing nothing to Amigo. The guarantor, who I know, told Amigo countless times the borrowers financial info was incorrectly calculated, which they ignored years ago. The borrower has now been sent an email saying they are entitled to £3.45 now and just over £1 in October. Then ignored a query, so had to be chased up. Then after the chase up email, told they will only get £30 and no recourse, as they supposedly had accepted this amount. Despite giving Amigo correct bank details on 3 separate occasions, the money has not gone in. Now Amigo want evidence of non-payment. The borrower clearly meets all criteria for a refund. The Guarantor has not even claimed so this would benefit the borrower by not clogging the claims system. How many people are being conned?

So stating they paying oldest outcomes…

So stating they paying oldest outcomes to newest and I received my outcome letter in October. They then state they now paying December outcome letter when I still haven't received a penny. Im sure October comes before december. False and misleading information on the website surely has to have some illegailty to it. Yet you can't contact anybody about it because the only people that you can don't have any way of looking into your claim and just fob you off with the 30days blah blah blah.

you read these other reviews by people…

you read these other reviews by people wanting there money and been waiting so long and have anybody got there money yet.... yes i got my full refund a couple of months ago now and the scheme payment is due in the next 3 days, what people have to realise is the more you rush and harass them then the longer it will take, as its not as if they have hundreds of people there to sort the payments out, but for me amigo have been good with how smoothly it has been for me, yes its taken a while but you cannot expect it to happen just like that.

Fat cat amigo

Can someone explain to me how it has come to the point where amigo has deemed the loan they gave me of £9500 in 2017 was unaffordable and that i was due compensation yet i paid back £20,000 on that £9500 loan unaffordable by the way and my total compensation is £2500 and the £4568 i still owed on the loan as if 15/05/24 was taken out of my compensation to clear the loans outstanding balance Like a fool ive taken the £2500 because its taken so long and i need the cash but come on 17p in the pound amigo and its fat cat owners are still getting loan repayments from its current clients.I suggest people get together with their guarantors and tell amigo to shove their loan repayments up their fat cat arses

The misery company

Scammers and rob there customers blind.when they got told by a high court they would be going into liquidation, customers thought they would be treated more respectfully and got what they deserved.nearly 2 years later and still no settlements or customer complaints successfully completed with an apology and reason amigos didn’t carry out the proper procedures when customers took and guarantors took out loans with themselves.I’m waiting nearly 2 years and still nothing at all.I read an article yesterday that amigos high end managers have been giving themselves big bonuses which people are asking
Where even is that money coming from for that to be giving to them.the fund pot where customer's are meant to be giving there redress from.any wonder a lot off people aren’t gettin nothing or offered £30 compensation back.it’s embarrassing this is even aloud to happen.
