I made a purchase for a trich…
I made a purchase for a trich treatment, and I started reading reviews that everyone says they have to pay for their own medication, and the 40$ payment was only to be prescribed the medicine. I was doing it for my boyfriend who doesn’t have health insurance and for this treatment you have to get diagnosed and perscribed by a doctor after a visit like I did. After I paid, it was getting reviewed and then it was cancelled. I did it again and it said the prescription was sent. So I go to check, meaning call my pharmacy and say his name, and it said they didn’t have it. Starfish lets me know I have to go up there and say my name because Telehealth places normally don’t give a prescription number or anything, so I sent my boyfriend and it worked!! Perscription was sitting right there, and yes he had would have had to pay 22$ for the perscription, but if you go to goodRX and get their free trial for a companian card, it’ll bring it down to 4$. And the nurse at walgreens helped him because the companion card was in my name and she put his name and still got him like a 20$ off discount. Theres actually a lot of coupons for perscriptions. It works for people who don’t have health insurance and don’t feel like either waiting until the end of the month to get a perscription, or you just don’t want to pay 20$ a month to get perscribed medication that your sexual partner already told you they had to take and so do you. Like if you know you have a yeast infection, and just need the pills but don’t want to see your gyno, just do this.
Fraudulent claims
Fraudulent claims, false time frames try to sell you everything you don’t need. Horrible customer experience. No REAL person to speak to. Make you just thru hoops. NOT trustable at all. Constantly make excuses for their poor service. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST.
They don't understand what an emargency dose is or what priority means
Paid for expedited processing and was told my medication would be sent for pickup in 20 to 30 minutes. 2 hours later I still had not heard back. Contacted customer service (via text because it's the only way). They said they needed me to provide my medication list. I had already done this. I never received any message about needing more info. An hour later I am sitting at the pharmacy and still nothing has been sent.
My experience was actually really good
My experience was actually really good, I got a discount for the doctors appointment because I was a first timer. So I paid $49 but originally $70. I was given the time 4:50pm and the doctor called 20 minutes before. She filled my prescription within 2 hours. I thought this was a scam based off all the bad reviews but turns out those people wanted something super quick and just wanted a refund when it wasn’t fast enough for them. If you’re patient its worth it. And pretty affordable since I have no insurance. You also have to pay for your own medication but if you’re have GoodRX or insurance you should be fine.
Scam. Scam. Scam.
Scam! I spent $60 on meds. Turned out it’s just for the prescription! In Europe, online pharmacies prescribe actual medication. Don’t waste your money. Tricking people into spending $60 for a prescription is criminal.
High pressure to upsell
The company will try about 5 times to upsell you on unecessary medications, soaps and supplements. They also take much longer than they say they do to fill prescriptions.
I ordered probiotics and gave my shipping address, and after 2 attempts with customer service they said they are now shipping it. I truly have my doubts i will recieve them.
I recommend using HelloWisp instead.
Starfish takes payment prior to service and refuses to refund
On April 23, 2026 I was directed to a company Starfish.com which is a subsidiary of the company on file. Their practice is to have you feel out a questionnaire, and then pay for your product prior to speaking with a physician. I did that as well as paid an extra $10.00 to be placed on the accelerated course. After taking my money, they decided that they could not assist me. I said no problem, when could I expect my payment returned to me. I've sent several messages, and I've called, I have continued to reach out inquiring about my refund, to no avail. They have not even responded to my last 2 emails I have sent to them. All I am asking for is my payment returned, it did not need to come to this.
SCAM
Firstly, took more than 1-2 hours to give me my prescription. SECONDLY, you must pay for your meds by YOURSELF. What even is the point of paying all that extra money to just pay the original price at CVS in the end.
I am so incredibly dissatisfied with this place
This sight is absolutely legit
This sight is absolutely legit, I was so scared that it wasn't. It is a great sight. I don't have time to schedule a Dr. Appointment, or take off work. It was so easy, and the consultation was great, all my questions were answered. I did this on a Sunday and my RX was filled on Monday. The money you pay is for your Dr. Appointment basically. They sent me a perception card, to get a discount, but I didn't need it, my meds were very affordable. I hope this helps others. I am a real person who used this for the first time. I will use them again if I need to. Great job!!!
Was in a panic and ordered from them
Was in a panic and ordered from them . Then I looked at reviews after that scared me and made me believe that I had made a mistake . How ever I was prescribed in less then 3 hours and. The prescription was at my local pharmacy I don’t see what all the big deal and 1 star reviews are all about I think this service was amazing and will definitely be using it again
Stay far away from this company
Stay far away from this company. They start off with allowing to place an order easy enough. Then comes multiple what seems like endless requests for more and more very personal requests. Your basically providing this online company so much personal information to have your identity destroyed.
I am so angry with myself for falling for this from the start. I should have known better. I fortunately stop without too much damage but they have enough to be dangerous.
Scam
I was promised this treatment would be covered by my FSA but the information provided is not enough and no matter how many times I contact them for the proper information I Just get the runaround. I am certain this is a scam. You will be out the money even if they claim it's covered. I guess I won't be eating this week. My FSA card is blocked until I pay or get this resolved. I will never never ever use this service again. I've used telehealth before, this was certainly a bad choice on my part. SCAM!
Predatory upselling and unclear services
This business is predatory, constantly upselling you in the small print until you end up with unexpected charges. I know these telehealth companies are trying to turn a quick profit and are used primarily for elective things these days, but still, upselling potentially sick people is wrong. I have some doubts that they're aligned with CA's CPOM regulations.
Additionally, the fee you pay (~$40) does not pay for your medication, just the online prescription. Be prepared to pay full price for your medication when you go to pick it up.
BV care
I am a trans man, assigned female at birth. They refused to give me and my partner care because my IDs reflect my gender and not what parts I have. I offered to show proof- birth cert, name change documents, old IDs with my photo - and they continued to refuse treatment, but still took my money. ($150)
Don’t use their services if you are LGBTQ or have heard other stories of them taking funds and not providing a prescription.
Okay while I did end up getting the…
Okay while I did end up getting the prescription and am happy about that, it took all day long. The website said 1-2 hours so they should definitely take that part down.
It is NOT 1-2 hours
It clearly states that the information you give them will be reviewed by a clinician “in 1-2 hours”. It is much longer. I feel that they should either give a refund or else remove the statement from their website.
This website is AMAZINGLY legit! Poor planning is why others are calling it a "scam"
This website is 1000% real! I went through the process and payment, on a Thursday evening, and everything I ordered arrived at my front door the next day! I didn't have to ever leave the comfort of my home. Which considering I'm in one of the farthest states away from this company's location, and with extreme winter weather and holiday influx on delivery carriers? I had my order in 24 hours, that's INCREDIBLE service! I think everyone who had a negative experience or called it a "scam" is because they had unrealistic expectations (i.e. wanted instant results). Not taking into consideration the work and care on the back-end required of Starfish.com, but also the medical providers trying to tend what I assume is a large amount of patients, around the clock. Starfish.com gave me updates via email every step of the way, and I also got emails from the doctor (confirmed board certified) as well with "office visit" and clinician notes. There wasn't any hidden costs or anything negative I can say, It was such a quick and seamless experience. I am beyond thrilled! 12/10 will use forever moving forward!
I filled out the form and paid and…
I filled out the form and paid and expected the prescription to come as they said within 1-2 hours. Time went and I sent reminders after 3 hours but they just came with excuses and they apologized for the delay. The pharmacy won't be open that long so I asked for a cancellation and a full refund. We will see if they will return my money.
Absolutely a scam
They charged me extra without verifying the additional charges. I never received an email confirmation of my order. 4 days later and I’m still contacting customer service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you would like something even semi-professional.
