FOR PROSPECTIVE MONTCARTA CUSTOMERS

MontCarta (following is a trademark excerpt) "The trademark MONTCARTA is held by Shenzhen U-Art Space Culture and Art Co., Ltd., with the application originally filed on November 27, 2024 and later registered on August 12, 2025." the trademark owner and address are in China. Bizapedia is available to review and is my source. This point will tie into their return policy later in the review.

We spent approximately $1,000 on a custom painting after believing we were purchasing from a boutique, artist-focused company. Unfortunately, our experience did not match the expectations created by the company's presentation.

The first painting arrived with noticeable paint defects that were not visible in the approval photos. Rather than immediately replacing the piece, we were first asked to scrape the paint ourselves and later to find a local artist to repair it.

To their credit, MontCarta did agree to repaint the artwork.

However, the replacement approval photos themselves contained visible paint issues that we had to point out before approving the painting. Those issues were then corrected, but the replacement still arrived with additional concerns that were not apparent in the approval photos.

Throughout the process we were also asked to sand the painting, re-use and swap the frame ourselves, or take it to a local framing shop for repairs. In our opinion, these are not reasonable expectations after purchasing a premium-priced finished piece of artwork.

Customer service remained polite throughout the process, and I appreciate that they continued communicating with us. However, the experience left us with little confidence in the company's quality control process. If a product is effectively non-returnable due to international return shipping and associated costs, quality control should be exceptionally thorough before the artwork is shipped.

My biggest disappointment wasn't simply the defects themselves. It was the disconnect between the boutique, artist-driven experience presented before purchase and the production process we experienced afterward. Had I understood the fulfillment process and the level of customer involvement that might be required after delivery, I would not have made this purchase.

I encourage prospective buyers to carefully read the return policy and understand the potential costs associated with returning artwork internationally before ordering. I also recommend asking detailed questions about the production, approval, and quality control process so you can make a fully informed decision.

I couldn't be happier with my…

I couldn't be happier with my purchases. MontCarta really shines when it comes to communicating with customers. This is my fifth purchase from them. All of the artists are incredibly talented which makes selecting only one difficult. The artist and every employee at MontCarta pays close attention to the slightest details. This time I ordered three paintings! Packaging and deliveries are always completed in a timely manner and with special care. From start to finish, my experience has been very positive.

We purchased the Eclipse in Bloom…

We purchased the Eclipse in Bloom painting and it is beautiful. MontCarta was very attentive to our every need. We had the chance to review the painting and make a few color modifications. Excellent customer service. We will purchase with them again.

Aside from the beautiful artwork

Aside from the beautiful artwork, MontCarta and staff provided superb communication throughout the process from order to delivery. The paintings arrived in perfect condition, securely crated. Would definitely order again. Recommended to our friends and family.

PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS BEWARE

I ordered and fully paid ($183.30) for a canvas without a colored frame as depicted in the advertisement on May 21, 2026. When I received the proof, the color had much less blue and I discovered the canvas was not coming with a inexpensive basic stretch bar which is customary. I contacted the company because trying to stretch the canvas as lay person would be disastrous and the painting would likely crack. They tried to charge me an additional $166.28 for a stretch bar. I declined and have asked SIX times in writing to cancel my order. Each time their AI response includes irrelevant nonsense. They have had for the last 14 days my money, the canvas, and I merely receive AI emails daily. This company is at best inefficient or a nefarious fraud. Either way prospective buyers beware.

First, you purchased a rolled canvas (unframed). This information was clearly stated in your order confirmation. We have sent you a screenshot of the order details for your reference. As a rolled canvas, it can only be shipped in a rolled format. Before shipping, the canvas is carefully rolled and placed inside a sturdy art tube for delivery. This is standard industry practice, and our website includes instructions regarding the packaging of rolled canvases.

Second, regarding the stretching/mounting service: You requested that the canvas be stretched. Since you purchased a roll of canvas, providing a stretching service requires an additional fee. Therefore, this charge is not being imposed without cause. We have been actively working to resolve this matter for you, and our responses are directly related to your order and request. These responses are by no means irrelevant or meaningless.

Third, regarding the artwork itself: In all your communications with us, you did not point out any specific aspects of the painting that you were dissatisfied with. If you would like the artist to adjust any areas, please let us know—our artists are more than happy to make revisions for you.

Fourth, your painting will be completely dry before any further processing. The rolled canvas will be carefully rolled and placed into a professional art tube. You need not worry about cracking or damage—we have extensive experience shipping rolled canvases worldwide and take every precaution to ensure safe delivery.

Fifth, every response you receive is written by a real customer service representative, not by artificial intelligence. We have always communicated with you directly and sincerely; we are by no means a fraudulent company. MontCarta has been in operation for 13 years, providing custom hand-painted oil paintings to over 35,000 customers. We are a legitimate and compliant company with absolutely no history of fraud.

Perfection!

I searched the internet for months and finally found a painting I fell in love with on MontCarta. The size I wanted wasn’t going to be cheap, but I loved it. I ordered it and held my breath. When I received the photos of the finished piece for my approval I was very, very happy! I did ask for a small finishing touch and it was returned to the artist and after giving my final approval it was shipped. When it arrived I was so excited. It is perfect! Well worth paying more to have a unique piece of art than what you can get on Amazon or other websites. And the customer service is incredible! I can’t say enough about every aspect of this company and the product! If you are looking, look no further!
