Louis saves our incomplete order!

Received an uncomplete order, straight away I am thinking what a hell of a process this will be to not just to get a refund but best case scenario get the missing pieces delivered. The call center is your best bet! They have an option to speak to them in english FYI. Louis picked up and managed to sort out a delivery of the missing items to our address in 2 days! No unnecessary questions asked, simple 5 minute call and done 👏

IKEA HOME DELIVERY ISSUES

I have several pieces of Ikea furniture and I generally like their products. However, I am need of a TV cabinet and finally found the ideal one on their site. I had spent ages measuring up apart from anything else.

When I came to make the purchase I was told that it was not available for home delivery. Out of interest I chose several alternatives and was told the same thing. FRANKLY THIS IS CRAP! WE PAY FOR THE DELIVERY! I have chosen another cabinet on Amazon, that does not look to be a patch on the one that I wanted from IKEA. Apparently I can collect it?? At least I could if I was not disabled and do not drive.

What is wrong with IKEA don't they want business? How come most other people can deliver?

I won't bother looking on their site again!

I would have given a zero star rating if possible.

Over 6000 euros spent Friends and family points not worth the effort

While renovating a bungalow I spent more than 6000 euros in Ikea kitchen wardrobes lamps marble worktop and other things.
The deliveries were awful young boys wet cartons late night arrivals inaccurate delivery broken deliveries
I had joined " friends and family" with the promise of discounts and offers.
MY TOTAL was nearly 2000 points so today I went to Ikea to redeem them with a few items I needed . Although I had my number, the emails they had sent me with the total points and my TIE CARD my Friends and family plastic card had been sent to my previous address after I had left However I checked that I could redeem my points without it but with proof of who I was before making the 90 minute journey to Malaga.
The restaurant refused my proof and would only take the plastic card for discount The food shop was the same Discount could only be obtained by email vouchers of certain items in different time scales. No email voucher no discount. In short the IKEA POINTS SYSTEM AND FAMILY CARD is as far as I experienced is a SCAM and a TOTAL WASTE of time and loyalty. I still have 2000 points which run out in July less than a year after a 6000euro purchase which is not worth the paper it is written on. So concludes my last visit to IKEA

Staff (Mr RUI) couldn't care less about…

Staff (Mr RUI) couldn't care less about my driving safety concern. One sunny weekend, I went to IKEA Wembley, London, to buy a plant & a pot. After paying for the items, I went to have a delicious hot dog at the deli counter.

White eating, got up to get some ketchup, a meter away from where I was sitting, and once returned, my glasses/spectacles were gone! Someone must have stolen the glasses.
Started to panic as a short-sighted person & I was on my own, and thinking how am I going to drive back home?
Asked several staff members at the deli counter, spoke to the cleaners nearby, but everyone was like- It's not their problem and they directed me to the customer service desk. After a long wait spoke to a staff member who refused to call security or check the CCTV. Wanted to speak to the Manager- a guy named RUI showed up and explained to him the situation, and wanted to register for the stolen/missing item, and explained the reason that it's very risky for me to drive without glasses. Mine and other road users could be in danger. Mr. RUI couldn't care less about my concern!

Mr. RUI confirmed that there is no such thing at IKEA for a lost property log book, so that if the item is found/handed over to the customer service desk, I could be contacted! Instead, he suggested calling the Police! What a recommendation, calling the Police on 999 for a pair of missing glasses in a store? Whereas IKEA staff didn't care, despite the item being stolen at their premises!
What a Shame!
We can certainly look for other UK retailers for similar household items from now on.

Absolutely unacceptable experience.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with IKEA Spain.

My order (€1,674.90) was cancelled only 1 hour and 30 minutes before the scheduled pickup time due to an internal IKEA error related to the “origin address”.

The problem is that I was already on the road and never saw the cancellation email sent at 14:28 for a pickup scheduled at 16:00.

I had rented a vehicle specifically to collect the order and drove approximately 120 km round trip between Portugal and Spain, only to discover at the pickup point that the goods were not available.

As a result:

vehicle rental costs;
fuel and travel expenses;
half a day lost;
unnecessary cross-border travel;
and no phone call whatsoever from IKEA despite the high order value.

What makes the situation even worse is that it is practically impossible to contact IKEA Spain by email for customer support or complaints. Customers are pushed toward automated chats with no real accountability or efficient follow-up.

I still do not have the furniture I ordered and now need to reorganize the entire logistics again because of IKEA’s mistake.

Very disappointing customer service, poor organization and complete lack of consideration for customers.

Use Argos instead

My mother purchased a bed from Exeter store for a present for her grand daughter and paid £25 delivery charge.
Bed arrived with no slats and no centre support.
Turns out they are not inluded.
Why does nobody ask if you want to purchase these missing pieces
I then had to drive into store to collect missing pieces . Some completely disinterested guy told me he had no idea why the parts were not included of why staff didnt ask if they were required.
Made a complaint and was offered the £25 back.
Ike didn't even offer a goodwill gesture to cover my fuel expenses. I'll use Argos next time.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs! Everything went wrong! The store themselves were helpful, but as soon as we had paid for the kitchen, our problems started. The kitchen was meant to be installed 19th February 2026; we are still waiting as of 26th May for this to be finished. They are incompetent to the point of being dangerous - my oven was not level and when I complained, they levelled it up with cardboard underneath! I have submitted a formal complaint but not received satisfactory resolution. The Area Manager for my area has actually suggested I 'terminate my relationship with Ikea' if I am not happy. I would love nothing more than to do so, but the kitchen still is not concluded. They don't keep appointments and when challenged, told me that my house was difficult to get to as it was in a mountain village. More likely, they cannot be bothered to come up from Malaga to do their jobs. The whole experience has been incredibly stressful and one I would warn everyone else to avoid.

Our order that was set for delivery 10 days after our payment and was cancelled at 7pm (we had been waiting for hours). After a phone call IKEA set a new day that was 1 week later, too late for us because we had left the country by then. No beds to sleep in and no table to eat at. Really bad, what dont they use a better delivery form and get better organized?

Professional customer service when it mattered most!

Messed up delivery rescued by exceptional customer service

I had a very unpleasant start to my day when my delivery of large items arrived completely wrong. The driver was rushed, arrived before the agreed time while I was absent, and left me with the incorrect order.

However, the experience was completely turned around once I got in touch with the customer service team at the Wednesbury store. I want to specifically highlight Harry, who was fantastic. He was incredibly pleasant and took nearly 45 minutes to patiently reconcile the entire order. He identified the solutions, double-checked with the delivery team, and personally arranged for an evening pickup of the wrong items and the redelivery of the correct products via a dedicated van.

Even though I still had to chase the delivery drivers later that evening when they encountered further issues, the customer support team stepped in again. They stayed on top of it and quickly sorted everything out, even though it was the final hours of the business day.
While the initial delivery process was a mess, the dedication of the in-store support team—and Harry in particular—saved the day. Truly professional service when it mattered most!

Why is everything so slow?

Why is everything so slow? Food service is slow, checkung out is slow, even the new coffee machines are delicious but slow. And all this on a Tuesday mid day. I think it’s understaffed or engineered to be slow so you might buy more. The Ikea experience is getting very stale.

IKEA Murcia

Ordered beds and bedroom furniture for our apartment in Spain . The only day they could deliver was on the day we flew home . Wednesday 6th May So I stayed behind and changed my flight .
The order didn't arrive on Wednesday . I phoned and they told me it would arrive Thursday between 8 am and 9 pm . I waited in all day .no furniture arrived. 2 days wasted. I was meant to go back to work on the 7th ,I am self employed so no show no doe . Cost me 2 days wages and another flight . I go home tomorrow with no furniture . They tell me it's now getting delivered on the 14th May . because of an" internal issue" with the haulage company . I will be back in the UK on the 10th May . I have had to ask my new neighbour if he will open the door for them and let them in , if it ever gets here . Ruined our holiday and our 1st week or so in our new apartment. Also now part of my next holiday here will be building furniture . Wont be back in any of there shops . Absolute S*!t show .🤬

Visited Ikea Sheffield.
Always have a look in Pre-owed section with wife.
She asked Tall guy with Glasses a question and it was like asking a sloth to move faster. it was like he did not want to be there every thing including opening his mouth seemed an effort. If there life after death it was him and I can't say he made the experience very enjoyable. Lucky the exit is not far from that department and that's where we headed after.

Very disappointing experience with…

Very disappointing experience with IKEA.

My mattress became faulty within less than a year. IKEA approved a replacement and scheduled delivery, but it never arrived and no one contacted me.

I was left without a usable mattress and had to buy a new one myself.

Despite this, IKEA later refused both the replacement and a refund, blaming issues they had already accepted when the exchange was arranged.

Poor communication, lack of responsibility, and a complete failure to resolve the issue.

I expected much better from IKEA.
I will not be purchasing from IKEA again.
