The Nintendo Switch is one of the most popular video game systems of all time, and that has little to do with its raw processing power or support for the latest graphical technologies. Nintendo’s phenomenal software, combined with the innovative way the console can move between home and portable play, are the reason it’s been so embraced by players and developers alike. So, can the company keep that momentum going for a sequel? Read Tim Biggs verdict: https://lnkd.in/gtJtxaVt #nintendoswitch2 #gamingconsole

Farmers have reacted defiantly as Donald Trump singled out Australian beef in his trade crackdown, warning the tariff would hike prices for fast food consumers and declaring Australia’s biosecurity must not be compromised to benefit US exports. Trump raised the grievances of American farmers during his speech, complaining about Australia’s ban on imports of fresh US beef, which are barred due to the risk of devastating livestock diseases. The Sydney Morning Herald reposted this
👋 Hello from The Sydney Morning Herald's new Parramatta bureau! It's no secret that the literal centre of Sydney (the ABS last week confirmed the suburb of Rosehill is dead middle by population) has been booming for years, but for many reasons a divide between the eastern and western edges of our city has left too many good stories untold. (You know what's going to help? The metro, construction of which is taking place directly outside our window, due to open in 2032.) After reporting on the Parramatta LGA as an urban affairs reporter for the past few years, I'm excited to be here as bureau chief with two other incredibly talented and well-connected journalists I'm thrilled to introduce you to very soon. We want to be breaking news about issues in the public interest and telling good stories about local communities. Here are some things we are interested in writing about, in no particular order: - Local, state and federal politics (especially with the election campaign) - Transport (light rail, metro, traffic, parking, ferries) - Healthcare (the Westmead Hospital precinct, etc) - Development and planning - Culture and communities - Business and economy If you work in these areas or have any news/tips/leaks, or just want to say hi, please get in touch! Would love to hear from you. 📱 DM for phone number 📧 [email protected] 🔒 Secure chat/call on Signal: 0426 034 550

Kamala Harris will be heading to the Gold Coast to speak at the Australian Real Estate Conference next month. To be honest, this isn’t a sentence we imagined ourselves writing a few months ago, when the pollsters rated Harris a coin-flip chance of winning the White House. Australia’s sacked Venice representative says the controversy has plagued him with sleepless nights, anxiety and nightmares, and vowed to keep fighting for his reinstatement, saying: “I do not stand for terrorism, racism or antisemitism.” Sabsabi’s public defence came as he spoke for the first time since his controversial dumping on February 13. Opposition Leader Peter Dutton's edict to force all federal public servants back into the office if elected has ruffled more than a few feathers. While the Coalition has softened their language recently, Dutton's declaration this week that he would live in Sydney's Kirribilli House over the Lodge in Canberra added fuel to the fiery response against his back-to-office policy. But how many people would this really affect? Millie Muroi breaks it down for you - while walking through Dutton's workplace.
