🇬🇧 Big news from the UK: ticket touting will be banned, making it illegal to resell tickets above face value. Can we get a big hooray?! 👏👏👏👏👏 This move targets the scalpers and bot networks that have long exploited fans, buying up tickets in bulk and reselling them at huge markups. Once legislated, platforms that enable above-face-value resales could face fines of up to 10% of global turnover. At Humanitix, we've always believed in fair access to events. That's why we built our resale facility with integrity at its core from day one - allowing genuine ticket holders to pass on tickets they can't use, only at the original price. No profiteering, no exploitation. The UK's announcement signals a global shift toward protecting fans and ensuring live events remain accessible. Strawberry Fields Festival = $300,000 in donations ‼️ By partnering with Humanitix since 2021, Strawberry Fields Festival has generated over $300,000 in donations to high impact projects in Australia and abroad. Through the 2025 festival alone, $100,000 was donated to charities like GiveDirectly, The Fred Hollows Foundation, EducateGirls Globally, Malaria Consortium, Room to Read and Fistula Foundation! A festival with a special place in Humanitix hearts, with a relationship growing from a young James Humpherson visiting the festival back in 2017.
