WP Reset first launched on AppSumo more than six years ago. No, that’s not a typo 🙂 It was April 2020, when COVID was busy turning the entire world upside down.

Fast-forward six years: we’ve added a ton of new features, squashed hundreds of bugs, and helped thousands of site owners. So if you’re wondering before buying, “Is this thing actually going to be around in a year?” — you can relax. WP Reset isn’t going anywhere.

For this relaunch, we’re bringing a whole suite of new cleanup tools.

Unlike reset tools that, as the name suggests, completely wipe/reset whatever you choose, cleanup tools take a much more surgical approach. They remove the stuff that’s slowing your site down, cluttering things up, or simply sitting there annoying you because you know it’s there.

Posts and custom post types? Gone.
Unused user accounts? Gone.
Media files you forgot existed? Gone.

You get the idea. Less clutter, less bloat, fewer things to make your inner perfectionist twitch.

And don’t worry — the familiar GUI hasn’t changed, and WP Reset still automatically creates a snapshot before running its tools. So you can clean house without sweating bullets.

WP Reset Pro was developed to help WordPress users overcome time-consuming site resets and complex manual recoveries. By offering instant resets of entire sites or specific sections, it saves developers and agencies hours of repetitive work.

The tool’s snapshot feature automatically captures site states and stores them on WP Reset Cloud or popular cloud services. Users can restore their sites to a precise moment, eliminating fear of errors or hacks.

When severe issues arise—like the dreaded white screen of death—its Emergency Recovery Script gives back admin access, even when the dashboard is unreachable. This safety net provides peace of mind and uninterrupted workflow.

Collections let you bundle plugins and themes for one-click bulk installations, making new site setups and client deliveries faster than ever.

Launched over six years ago, WP Reset is a stable, tried & tested tool that gets regular updates and new features. Two latest, 2025 updates feature a rewritten cloud storage module and the long awaited Snapshot Staging feature. It allows users to turn any snapshot into a live, fully functional staging copy of the site, deployed inside a subfolder. This simplifies testing updates, plugins, or other changes in a safe, isolated environment without affecting the live site.

New Staging Feature!

The staging features gives you the ability to deploy a staging copy of their site with one-click. It's hosting independent and only requires you to have enough space to fit a copy of the site. You can then tinker with the staging copy, test things, and once you're done delete it without affecting the main site.

This feature will be soon further expanded with the ability to deploy a staging copy from any snapshot that you have previously saved. Giving you the option to test a previously saved copy of the site before restoring it, or to just grab some piece of the site (maybe 2 paragraphs of text from some page) you had a few weeks ago without the need to restore the whole thing.
