Google Play & App Store data for AI agents

The AppPage.net MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or your own agent search Google Play and the App Store, look up any Android or iPhone app's details, reviews and privacy practices, find alternatives and browse top charts. It's free and works without signup; a free API key raises the limits.

What your agent can do

Tools

search_apps

Keyword search on Google Play or, with store=app_store, the App Store (live), with optional store country.

“Find habit tracker apps for iPhone”

get_app

Details of one app by Android package name or numeric App Store id: developer, category, rating, installs (Android), price, in-app purchases, ads, version, size, required OS, content rating, dates, description, recent changes.

“Is com.whatsapp free? When was it last updated?”

find_alternatives

Similar apps from either store, compared by rating, price, installs and last update.

“Apps like Spotify”

browse_category

Top free, top paid or top grossing charts on Google Play or the App Store, overall or in a category (live).

“Top grossing puzzle games on the App Store in Germany”

get_app_reviews

User reviews: rating, date, text and app version; helpful votes and the developer’s reply on Google Play, a title on the App Store.

“What do users complain about in Instagram?”

get_app_privacy

Google Play data safety and Android permissions, or Apple’s App Privacy labels (data used to track you, linked to you, not linked to you).

“Does this app share my location?”

get_developer_apps

All apps published by a developer, by name on Google Play or by developer id on the App Store.

“What else has Wikimedia Foundation made?”

Android apps are identified by package name (com.whatsapp), iPhone and iPad apps by App Store id (310633997). Every result includes an apppage_url with the full app page. Fields that the store doesn't provide are left out rather than guessed.

Live lookups are searches, top charts, reviews, privacy, developer lists and the first request for an app we haven't stored yet; repeated requests are cached and don't count as live. An account's limits are shared by all its keys and reset at 00:00 UTC. Need more? Email [email protected].

Get a free API key

Make your keys in your AppPage.net account, under API keys. A key is shown once when you make it, with ready-to-paste setup for Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Claude.ai and ChatGPT. You can have up to 3 keys and revoke them any time; they share your account's daily limit.

Keys that were emailed from this page before October 15, 2026 no longer work; make a new one in your account.

About the data

App data comes from public Google Play and App Store listings and is refreshed regularly; each get_app result says when it was last synced (data_as_of). Ratings are only included when the listing has real user ratings. Please cite the apppage_url when you show results to users.
