HireKey: AI job search assistant for focused applications
Match your resume to a role, prepare your interview and organize applications.

What is HireKey, in plain English?
HireKey is an AI job search assistant that helps you prepare for a particular job. You bring your resume and the job description; it helps you understand the fit, improve how you present your experience, write a cover letter and practice interview answers. Rozea LLC operates the service.
It suits applicants who already have roles in mind and want a connected preparation workflow. You remain responsible for checking the content and submitting the application: HireKey does not automatically apply or guarantee interviews.
Turn a job description into a focused application
Start with your existing resume and the target job description. HireKey compares them, separating Job alignment from Resume effectiveness. The first concerns your fit for the role; the second concerns how effectively the document communicates your background. A stronger document and stronger qualifications are different things, so treat the scores as preparation guidance. The scoring methodology explains these limits.
Review the original and suggested resume bullets side by side. Keep changes that accurately express your experience, correct overstated claims and check that each example supports a real requirement. HireKey also drafts a cover letter from your background and the role. Export resumes and cover letters as PDF or Word when needed. For each job, it retains the latest resume and cover letter plus at most one previous version; keep your own copies when version history matters.
Practice the interview, then keep the useful feedback
Use recruiter-screening or hiring-manager questions, or add your own. Voice coaching follows up on answers and provides feedback and a debrief. Written interview preparation includes questions and answer guidance that you can export to PDF.
A practical session is to answer one difficult question, review the feedback and try again using a concrete example from your work. You can type instead of speaking. Browser speech services handle transcription; HireKey says its application storage does not retain original microphone or playback audio files.
Download the full conversation before signing out, closing its tab or successfully saving a debrief. Complete practice conversations are not saved to its servers. They can remain temporarily in the same tab after completion and are cleared when you sign out, close that tab or successfully save the debrief. Only the most recent successful debrief is retained.
Keep applications and follow-ups in one place
A table or Kanban view organizes stages, deadlines, notes and follow-ups. Company research briefs help you prepare questions, but verify company facts against current sources. The value is keeping the role, tailored documents and next action together as you manage several applications.
Free plan, Premium and extra credits
Checked on October 13, 2026, the public offer is priced in US dollars:
- Free: monthly allowances of five resume optimizations, five interview practices, two voice sessions, five cover letters and five company briefs, with unlimited application tracking.
- Premium: $39 per month, with 50 resume optimizations, 50 interview practices, ten voice sessions, unlimited cover letters, company briefs and tracking, plus pipeline insights.
- Premium users can buy five extra voice sessions or 15 resume optimizations for $9.99 per pack. Purchased credits do not expire and remain after a downgrade, but are lost if the account is deleted.
Sign in with Google; upgrades are available through Settings → Billing after onboarding. Premium renews monthly until canceled, with access continuing through the paid period. Free does not automatically become paid. Check taxes at checkout and the subscription and credit terms.
Know where your resume and practice answers go
The standalone recruiter resume review is free without an account. It reviews positioning, evidence, readability and seniority signals; it is not a job-description comparison. Its local-processing statement does not describe the entire HireKey application.
The full application sends relevant resume, job-description and answer content to OpenAI. HireKey says it does not use it for model training, while provider processing and retention can still apply. Enabled PostHog session replay may include visible resumes or inputs outside voice coaching; voice coaching content is excluded, but account-linked measurement remains. Read the privacy policy before uploading sensitive information.
You retain ownership of uploaded content and may use outputs for applications, without a promise of uniqueness. Eligible unpaid accounts may have files removed after 12 months of inactivity with notice; this is not a statement that all account data is deleted.
Questions job seekers ask
Can HireKey tailor the resume I already have?
Yes. It compares your resume with a job description and presents proposed edits for review. Check every change against your actual skills and experience.
Can I try AI interview preparation for free?
Yes. The Free plan includes limited monthly interview practices and voice sessions. The separate allowances are listed above; they are not unlimited practice.
How can I see what needs improving for a particular job?
HireKey separates Job alignment from Resume effectiveness: one concerns how your experience relates to the role, the other how well the resume presents it. Use those distinctions to review missing evidence and unclear descriptions. The scores do not predict an employer’s decision or an interview invitation.
