Yes — ORANO offers an MCP server for compatible agents, with read access to projects, sources, tasks, research, and curated memory.

What it does

You share a Reel, TikTok, YouTube video, X post, article, PDF or GitHub repo into ORANO (via the OS share sheet or a pasted link). It fetches the source, transcribes the speech, reads on-screen text and captions via OCR, analyses sampled video frames, and keeps all of that evidence separate from the creator's own caption — then turns it into a summary, key takeaways, and, where the content is actionable, an ordered task list or learning roadmap. A chat assistant ("Ori") can then answer questions against your saved library. This is confirmed from the product's own walkthrough and Google Play listing, not just the pitch: the share flow, the per-field breakdown (visuals/speech/on-screen text/source context), and the resulting project view are all shown in the live demo on the homepage.

The MCP layer is more rigorously specified than most agent integrations

Where ORANO stands out is the technical contract behind "connect your agent." Rather than a vague webhook, ORANO documents a named, versioned context API: 14 selectable evidence/output fields (caption, transcript, visual_analysis, frame_analysis, raw_source, summary, overview, project_output, links, source, web_context, research, tasks, roadmap), three output formats (structured JSON, markdown, plain text), and identical parameter names (include, format, max_chars) across the REST endpoint, the WebMCP tool, and the personal MCP server's get_project_context call. The published REST example (POST /v1/projects/<id>/context) and response shape match the written spec. Unavailable fields are explicitly marked rather than silently fabricated, by design. This level of documentation for a consumer app's agent integration is unusual and is the one piece of this listing worth taking at face value as a genuine strength.

Pricing — two separate subscriptions, both public

The mobile app is free to install; the in-app "ORANO Pro" subscription (required for AI summaries, per the App Store description) is sold through Apple/Google at $1.99/week, $4.99/month, $12.99/quarter or $39.99/year — these four tiers are listed verbatim on the App Store product page as of 11 October 2026. Agent/MCP access is a separate product: $5/month, billed through a web checkout independent of the app stores, per oranoai.com/pricing. The two are not bundled — someone who only wants MCP access for an agent doesn't need the app subscription, and vice versa.

Privacy policy names its subprocessors — but the App Store label contradicts it

ORANO's own privacy policy (oranoai.com/privacy.html, last updated 8 October 2026) is unusually specific for an app this size: it names Anthropic's Claude (served via Amazon Bedrock, with direct Anthropic API as fallback), OpenAI (embeddings), Groq (speech-to-text), Apify/ScrapeCreators/Bright Data (content fetching), Tavily/Exa/Brave (web search), Supabase (auth and storage) and RevenueCat (billing) as the specific processors that see saved content. It states saved content is not sold or used to train third-party foundation models beyond generating the user's own output. Set against that, Apple's App Privacy label on the same listing says "the developer does not collect any data from this app" — which the vendor's own privacy policy directly contradicts (account IDs, saved content, voice recordings, AI chat history and billing identifiers are all described as collected). That's a vendor-facing self-declaration error worth knowing about if you're relying on the App Store privacy summary rather than reading the policy.

The company listed as the developer no longer legally exists

Both the App Store and Google Play credit Infotik Ltd (trading as ORANO, founder Manu Parasuraman, Nottingham, UK) as the publisher, and the website's own terms and copyright notice name the same entity. UK Companies House company number 16063483 (Infotik Ltd, incorporated 6 November 2024) was dissolved via compulsory strike-off on 28 April 2026 — a First Gazette notice was published 10 February 2026 and the Final Gazette (confirming dissolution) on 28 April 2026. Compulsory strike-off is initiated by the Registrar, typically for a missed confirmation statement or accounts filing, not a declared insolvency, but the legal effect is the same: the company has no legal personality. Despite that, the app has continued shipping version updates after the dissolution date (version 1.3.5, 3 October 2026, per the App Store version history) and the $5/month MCP plan and in-app Pro subscription both still bill under Infotik Ltd's name as of 11 October 2026. No successor UK entity under the Infotik or Orano name is registered at Companies House, and the founder's only other UK company (Manu Excess Limited) is also dissolved. This doesn't necessarily mean the product is about to disappear — plenty of small operators let a UK shell lapse without replacing it — but it does mean the entity you would be contracting with for a recurring charge, and the entity notionally responsible as data controller under the published privacy policy, is not currently a going legal concern. Anyone paying monthly, or disputing a charge, should know that before they do.

Scale, by every visible signal, is very small

ORANO's own Discord server ("ORANO Turn reels Into Work") had 7 members and 1 person online when checked via Discord's invite API on 11 October 2026. The App Store listing "hasn't received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview." Google Play shows the app in its lowest install bracket, "10+ Downloads." None of this is unusual for a product that only shipped its first app store release on 29 July 2026 (per the App Store version history), but it means there is no independent user feedback yet to weigh against the vendor's own description.

Our take

Check whether the one-plan $5/month setup covers your intended agent workflow, since ORANO's MCP access is read-only and limited to projects, sources, tasks, research, and curated memory. If you need write-back automation, that constraint matters before you commit.
