HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Dry air is on the way to Southeast Texas. Friday afternoon brings a nice break in the humidity, perfect for Friday Night Lights.

An easterly wind will continue to blow drier air into Southeast Texas through the evening hours. It'll be slightly more humid Saturday, then feel like summer again on Sunday.

What should we expect for the weekend?

The dry air that blows in Friday will linger into Saturday, giving us a pleasant morning with lows in the low 70s. In fact, temperatures readings Saturday morning could be our lowest since early June! It will still be a hot afternoon under a mostly sunny sky with highs in the mid 90s. Similar weather is expected for Sunday, it will just be a few degrees warmer in the morning and the afternoon with higher humidity. An isolated shower can't be ruled out Sunday afternoon.

Are you seeing any signs of a fall front coming this way?

We're penciling in next Wednesday or Thursday for a weak, fall front to move in. It'll mainly be a humidity drop for late in the week. That humidity drop should allow the morning temp to fall to or just below 70 for several mornings in a row into next weekend.
