Born and raised in Southern California, Justin Barbata discovered his love for House Music in early 2009 when he was instructed by a good friend to check out this guy, Mark Farina. His life took on a new path and meaning from that point forward.
Justin began his journey as a DJ in early 2013 playing vinyl at private parties and events. 2014 proved to be a productive year with making the switch to digital, playing his first public gigs at The Rocks in Orange County, and beginning his partnership and representing Joel Patrick's brand, Re:FRESH Urbanwear. Justin, along with good friend and music partner Ethan Yamada, created and run a monthly event called Burgers and Beats (all day BBQ featuring house and disco DJs).
As a resident DJ for Swerve Underground, Justin proudly stands on the front line to represent underground house and disco and spread the good vibes and music to Southern California and beyond.
