Okay, Typescript aside for a bit now. Over the last couple of weeks, 🤖 Caleb Langat, Emmanuel Muturia, and I have been cooking something exciting for the Android world. We have been building a super cool Android SDK built purely with Compose and Kotlin. Introducing Artmaker! This is an SDK that allows your users to draw any kind of shape on screen and exposes the final shape as a Bitmap. The SDK is also highly customisable and can be adapted to blend in seamlessly with the theme in your application. For the future, we plan to add more features, improve it, and welcome collaboration with anyone who might be interested. Some of the features in the roadmap include palm rejection, KMP support, rubbing functionality, pressure detection, and more! In the last 8 months, I have been actively coding. Took 3 large scale projects and implemented from Design to Development. The reason why I did this is because I heard people turning me down, not because I lack skills per say, but because whenever I apply for actively coding, what is checked first is my experience as a tech instructor. And then the next question that is asked, "Where are your years as an active coder?" That flabbergast me because why? 😂 I am almost asking the mentor to give me a challenge and let me prove that I can code. Anyway, I took that question as a challenge and looked for projects that would throw me in the deep end. I embraced Next JS and started coding with it Fullstack projects even though I had trained as a mobile developer. Started learning UI/UX and challenged myself using Figma. I am not where I want to get yet. However, day by day I am getting confident in my skills. One of the projects I did from start to finish is: Sokoni-KE (https://lnkd.in/dNpgfv-8) It has the front end for consumers And back end for vendors. The payment integration kicked my brain and I outsourced a developer. However, I am pretty proud how everything came out. My take: Every statement that makes you question yourself, take it as a challenge and show yourself that you can. It's our baby - a home-grown online payment solution we've been working on. Think credit cards, M-Pesa, EcoCash, all in one place. And we're not stopping there - we're planning to add even more local payment options. Now, here's the thing: we need your help to make it happen. We're tech guys, and while we've poured our hearts into building Paysync, there are some hurdles we need to clear - like getting PCI compliant. That's where the crowdfunding comes in.
