Motivation
[edit]Similar to Quora topic ID (P3417). See that it also has description in BTS and Taylor Swift as "K-pop group" and "Pop musician" respectively. Hddty (talk) 13:40, 26 July 2020 (UTC)

- Oppose I only get "Sorry, that page doesn't exist" if I click on the link when viewing the page without javascript. It seems the page is low accessibility and very javascript heavy. Also I dont quite understand the point of the identifier being added to Wikidata, how will that help users of Wikidata, it just looks like a random collection of tweets? I think Quora topic ID (P3417) has better justification but here I fail to see the point. --Hannes Röst (talk) 18:43, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Since when was accessibility or the use of JavaScript, a criteria in deciding whether to have a property for an identifier? These are far from "random collection of tweets", and the benefit of us having properties for external identifiers such as this is long-established. - Support Topics are one way that Twitter *organizes* tweets. A collection, but not random. I can see data reusers wanting to provide links to what people are saying about lots of entities we cover. --99of9 (talk) 06:24, 28 July 2020 (UTC)

- Comment What if the name is changed simply to "Twitter topics ID"? Hddty (talk) 06:56, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, that is better. --99of9 (talk) 07:31, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
