Motivation
[edit]WikiProject Books has more than 50 participants and couldn't be pinged. Please post on the WikiProject's talk page instead. This is a major classification system for books.
- There is no official formatter URL since BISG doesn't have per-subject pages, but higher-level pages, eg https://www.bisg.org/science
- There are many third-party formatter URLs. Eg here are books about I Ching from 3 online book stores:
- BISG doesn't provide a free dump, but a full list of subjects is in the EDItEUR mapping excel (see above). The BISAC subject name is not in there, but the meaning can be understood from the mapping to EDItEUR Thema (which I'll propose next)

Discussion
[edit]- Support This looks really useful, love those 3rd party formatters! ArthurPSmith (talk) 17:58, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
- Done Created as BISAC Subject Heading (P12164). Made the description more terse and compliant, if you think it's too terse go ahead and change it. @Vladimir Alexiev, ArthurPSmith: Enjoy! Infrastruktur (talk) 22:08, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
