'Putin thinks he can break Ukraine's resolve – and ours,' says Nato chief – video
Nato allies need to step up their military aid for Ukraine to strengthen Kyiv's position should it enter peace negotiations with Moscow, said Mark Rutte, the secretary general of the alliance.
Speaking on Tuesday before a meeting of foreign ministers from member states, Rutte said Nato would step up intelligence sharing and improve the protection of critical infrastructure to counter Russia's 'hostile' acts of sabotage.
'Putin is not interested in peace,' said Rutte, adding the Russian president was 'pressing on, trying to take more territory because he thinks he can break Ukraine's resolve and ours'. Rutte told reporters that strengthening Nato's military support would allow Ukraine to be stronger at the negotiating table
