System Land Management Office

The Land Management Office (LMO) provides strategic support to the universities, state agencies, health science center, and research campuses that make up The Texas A&M University System. LMO is dedicated to assisting System Members in the oversight, management, optimization, and stewardship of System-owned land assets to align with the goals of individual Members and the broader A&M System.

The initiatives and projects managed by LMO extend well beyond traditional land administration. Our work generates revenue that directly supports education and research, enables innovative resource development, and ensures the responsible stewardship of natural assets. From overseeing mineral and energy leases to negotiating easements, rights-of-way, and access agreements, LMO plays a vital role in supporting the A&M System’s mission.

Through these efforts, we help advance education, research, sustainability, and economic impact, all while preserving and enhancing the value of A&M System lands for future generations.
