Rule- Thank you

 Thank you >> thank (according to tense)


 He said to me, “Thank you”
 He thanked me.
Rule- Good Bye

 Good Bye> Reporting Sub +bid/bade+reporting Obj+good bye

 He said, “goodbye friends”


 He bade his friends goodbye.
Rule – Good morning/good evening/
good night

 Reporting sub+ wish/wished+reportingobj+a+good


morning/evening/night

 I said to him,”good morning.”


 I wished him a good morning.
No reporting sub and obj

 “I shall meet you tomorrow”


 The speaker said to the person spoken to that he would meet him the
next day
Interrogative sentence

 Reporting verb >> ask, enquire of, want to know, demand, wonder

প্রশ্ন auxiliary verb দ্বারা শুরু হলে , সেই প্রশ্নের উত্তর “yes/no/”
দ্বারা দেওয়া গেলে, তবে reported speech এর পূর্বে “that ” না বসিয়ে “if/
whether” বসাতে হয়।
Sub+ask/enquire +Obj+if/whether+sub(reported speech )+verb+বাকি
অংশ।

He said to his sister ,”will you go to school?”


He asked his sister if she would go to school.

 She asked me who I was and what I wanted.

 He requested me to give him a glass of water.

Negative imperative

কাউকে সম্বোধন করা হলে

 Adressing+reporting obj+as+যাকে /যাদেরকে সম্বোধন করা হয়েছে সেই


শব্দটি +reporting sub+reporting verb+to +reporting speech এর মূল
ভাব থেকে পর্যন্ত।
 He said to them, “Friends, help me”
 Addressing them as friends, he requested them to help him.
