Introduction

 Objective: To design a network with wired and

wireless communication using Cisco Packet Tracer.
 Key Features:
 Two LANs (Building 1 & Building 2) connected via
the Internet.
 Wired and wireless devices included.
 Ensuring inter-LAN communication.
Network Topology
Overview
 Building 1 (LAN 1): Two PCs connected to a
switch.
 Building 2 (LAN 2): PC, Laptop (wired), and IoT
devices (wireless).
 Both LANs connected through the Internet
(Cloud).
Network Components

 Devices Used:
 Building 1: Router0, Switch0, 2 PCs.
 Building 2: Router1, Switch1, PC, Laptop, IoT
devices (Garage Door, Humidifier, Light, 2
Smartphones).
 Internet Cloud & Cable Modem.
Connection Types:

 Wired to Wired (PC to Switch)

 Wired to Wireless (Router to Wireless Devices)
 Wireless to Wired (Smartphones accessing LAN
devices)
 Wireless to Wireless (IoT communication)
IP Addressing &
Configuration

 Subnet Allocation:
 LAN 1: 192.168.10.0/24 (Gateway: 192.168.10.1)
 PC1: 192.168.10.3
 PC2: 192.168.10.2
 LAN 2: 192.168.20.0/24 (Gateway: 192.168.20.1)
 PC3 192.168.20.2
 Laptop: 192.168.20.3
 IoT Devices: Static Assigned

 Routing: Inter-LAN communication enabled using

static routing.
Connectivity & Testing

 Ping Test Results:

 PCs in LAN 1 can communicate.
 Devices in LAN 2 can communicate.
 Communication between LAN 1 and LAN 2
successful via the internet.

 Testing Methods:
 ICMP Ping Requests
 Packet Analysis
Challenges & Solutions

 Challenges Faced:
 Configuring wireless communication.
 Assigning correct IP addresses and ensuring
routing works.
 Ensuring proper security configurations.

 Solutions Implemented:
 Used Static for IoT devices.
 Configured static routing between LANs.
 Verified security settings for device connections.
Conclusion

 Successfully simulated a network with both wired

and wireless communication.
 Achieved LAN-to-LAN communication via the
internet.
 Demonstrated practical networking skills using
Cisco Packet Tracer.
