Why wireframing and
prototyping

Wireframing and prototyping are essential steps

in the user-centered design process for creating
websites and apps.
Wireframes establish the structure and
functionality, while prototypes add detail and
interactivity.
Wireframes provide a blueprint to conceptualize
the product's structure and layout, while
prototypes simulate interactions, offering a
glimpse of how the product will feel in real use.
WIREFRAMING
Purpose: Focuses on the structure and content
of a page
When to use: Early in the design phase
How to create: Can be hand-drawn or created
using software like Visio
What to include: Placeholder content, like
"lorem ipsum", to avoid getting bogged down in
details
Types of wireframing

there are three types of wireframing

● Low-fidelity

● High-fidelity

● interactive wireframes

PROTOTYPING

Purpose: Adds detail and interactivity to the

design
When to use: Based on the wireframe, to test
interactions and user experience
How to create: Can be clickable wireframes or
high-fidelity prototypes
What to include: Placeholder content, color
schemes, and basic interactions
PROCESS
 Understand the user and project
goals
 Create wireframes
 Develop a prototype
 Test and iterate based on user
feedback
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WIREFRAMING AND PROTOTYPING IN
UX DESIGN
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF PROTOTYPING MODEL
conclusion

wireframing and prototyping

are crucial for successful
product development, serving
as essential tools for visualizing
ideas, testing user interactions,
and ensuring alignment among
stakeholders, ultimately leading
to better user
