AIM OF THE PROJECT
The aim of an ultrasonic sensor is to measure distances or detect obstacles using ultrasonic
waves.
Ultrasonic sensor use sound waves to detect presence , movement, or distance of objects.
Ultrasonic sensors are commonly used in Arduino projects for distance measurement.
These sensors emit high-frequency sound waves (ultrasonic waves) and then calculate the
time it takes for these waves to bounce back after hitting an object.
By measuring this time delay, the sensor can determine the distance to the object.
Ultrasonic sensors are commonly used in various applications such as robotics, industrial
automation, automotive parking systems, security systems, and distance measurement
devices.
It works on the principle of sending out ultrasonic pulses and measuring the time it takes for those
pulses to bounce back after hitting an object.
In this hands-on project, our goal is to construct a straightforward yet powerful ultrasonic sensor using an
Arduino board.
The ultrasonic sensor we create will possess the ability to accurately measure distances and detect
objects within its surrounding environment.
This do-it-yourself endeavor is tailored for beginners and electronics enthusiasts alike, providing a
comprehensive learning experience in ultrasonic technology, sensor interfacing, and Arduino
programming.
