ABOUT IBM:
 IBM stands for International Business
Machines. IBM is a multinational computer
technology and IT consulting corporation
headquartered in New York, USA.
 IBM began as the tabulating, computing
and recording company, which was founded
by Herman Hollerith in 1800s.
 Their first large contract was to provide a
tabulating equipment to the USA, to
perform the tabulation analysis.
 CEO and Chairman of IBM: Arvind Krishna.
VISION & MISSION OF THE FIRM:
 Vision: To be the world’s most successful
and important information technology
company.

 Mission: To lead in the creation,


development and manufacture of the
industry’s most advanced information
technologies, including computer systems,
software, networking system and storage
devices.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Project Name: Python Basics for Data Science

 In this project I learned the new language Python


and its packages.
 I learned to work with different file formats and
usage of Python In different fields.
 I learned to work with data in Python using
packages like Pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, plotly etc.
 I also came to know about APIs and data collection
like webscraping.
 I also learned how to convert the raw data into
graphs and data charts using the above stated
libraries.
SKILLS I ACQUIRED/LEARNED
1) Interpersonal
Skills: While training
in IBM I had to
communicate to my
mentors there, where I
learned to be polite
and courteous.3) Awareness of
Industry trends: As
an Engineering
student, we have to
be self aware of the
industry skills and its
trends, which I got by
doing this online
training.
CONCLUSION:
 The online training/internship program
was a great opportunity for me to know
about the field of data science and how
it contributes the industries.

 It gave me general overview of the data


science field and how you can enter this
field as a beginner.
