2. Sentence Correction: On your Manila
paper, rewrite the following sentences
correctly.
Pay close attention to punctuation,
spelling, and capitalization. There may
be more than one error in each
sentence.
3. Write Corrected Sentences: Write the
corrected versions of the sentences on
the Manila paper.

and capitalization are some of the
examples. To prevent confusion, it is
necessary to
know and follow these conventions in

A. Punctuation
Punctuation marks are symbols used in
writing to separate sentences and parts
of sentences, and to make the meaning
of the writing clear. They guide the
reader and help them understand the
structure and intended meaning of the
text.

Corrected: Let's eat, grandpa.

A.1 use comma to separate items in a


series. A series is made up of three or
more nouns, verbs, modifiers, or
phrases

Examples: Mathematics, Science, and

before the main clause.

(complete sentences) that are closely
related in thought. It shows a closer

a comma splice.)

B. Spelling

Spelling is the process of writing


words using letters in the correct
sequence. It's how we represent spoken
language in written form.

communication because it helps ensure
that the reader understands the
intended meaning. A misspelled word
can be confusing, distracting, or even
change the meaning of a sentence
entirely.

Their/There/They're: These three


words sound the same but have
different meanings. Using the wrong
one can confuse your reader. "They're
going to their house over there."

Affect/Effect: Again, similar sounds but


different meanings. "The movie had a

movie had a profound effect on me."

using uppercase letters in writing to indicate
the beginning of sentences, proper nouns,
and certain important words. Here’s a
