The word seminar is derived from latin


word “seminarium” which means “seed
plot.”
Definition
Seminar can be defined as an exchange
of ideas in some particular area; guided
discussion of concepts.
OR
Seminar is an instructional technique
involves generating a situation for a
group to have a guided interaction
among themselves on a theme which
is generally presented to the group by
one or more members.
TECHNIQUE
A seminar group is mainly concerned with
academic matters and commonly involves
the reading of an essay or paper by one
group member, followed by a discussion by
the total group on the topic .
It usually include 10-15 students

PREPARATION OF SEMINAR

1) The student in a group select appropriate


problem.

2) Student are expected to do considerable


library references.

the collected data and in presenting it
through effective reporting.

participate in seminars.
EVALUATION OF
SEMINAR
Evaluation is one of the main aspect of
paper presentation at seminar. Observation
by individual student appointed by the
teacher alone with the teacher can be
carried out to give a feedback to the
presenter on his presentation.
