ABSTRACT

 This project focuses on the development and deployment of an autonomous UAV tailored
for agricultural applications, emphasizing its utility in crop health assessment, growth
analysis, and early pest detection.
 Equipped with advanced sensors and cameras, the drone captures high-resolution data,
enabling precise analysis of vegetation index like NDVI (Normalized Difference
Vegetation Index).
 This index is critical for evaluating plant health, stress levels, and nutrient requirements.
INTRODUCTION

 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones, have revolutionized modern agriculture
by providing efficient and precise tools for crop monitoring.
 These cutting-edge devices are equipped with advanced sensors, cameras, and GPS technology, enabling
farmers to gather real-time data on the health, growth, and condition of their crops.
 UAVs are capable of capturing high-resolution aerial imagery and multispectral data, which can detect
variations in plant health, moisture, and soil conditions that are invisible to the naked eye.
 By flying over vast agricultural fields, UAVs can quickly survey and analyze areas that would take
significantly longer with traditional ground-based methods
LITERATURE SURVEY

 The objectives of this study is to apply UNet convolutional neural networks (CNN) architecture to analyse the
role of including spectral vegetation indices such as NDVI and EVI in crop classification [1]
 With the developments of smart sensors and image processing approaches, remote sensing provides a powerful
tool to efficiently monitor crop growth at various temporal and spatial scales [2]
 Farmers can obtain real-time information on crop conditions over large areas. These technologies can detect
subtle changes in plant physiology, helping identify stressors and potential threats before they escalate into
significant losses.
 The outcome of our work provides opensource service to study the crop growth, without the use of expensive
sensors like infra-red sensors, further increasing the costeffectiveness also during data collection.
