Three Reservoir
Reservoir
A reservoir is most commonly an enlarged natural or artificial
lake created using a dam to store water. Three Reservoir
Three reservoirs at different elevations are connected through a
piping network at a single point, with an outflow from the common junction. This application will calculate the flow rates, flow directions, and head at the common junction. Example: Three reservoirs A, B, and C are connected by pipelines 1, 2, and 3 respectively which merges at a junction X. The elevation of reservoir A is 300 m and that of B is 285 m. The rate of flow from reservoir A is 1.4 m³/sec. Determine: a. Rate of flow in reservoir B b. Rate of flow in reservoir C c. Elevation of reservoir C
