Follow Through and Overlapping Acting Techniques used to add realism to a character’s movement. Slow in and Slow Out The way the movement starts slowly, builds speed, and finishes slowly. Secondary Action Gestures that support the main action. Timing Personality and nature of an animation is affected by the number of frames inserted between each main action. Exaggeration Is the principle of taking every action, pose, and expression to the next level to increase the impact on the viewer. Solid Drawing Is the principle of making sure that forms feel like they are in three dimensional space with volume, weight, and balance. Appeal Making characters pleasing to look at, with a charismatic aspect that makes them interesting.
