Scope

training leaders at all levels, emphasizing how personal experiences
significantly contribute to developing Soldiers into the leaders of
the future.

to be well trained and poorly educated. To be successful it is
important to be both and to ensure that your team receives the
best training and education.

Educate Leaders
• Education is provided through Non-Commissioned Officer education
systems (NCOES) such as BLC, ALC, and SLC.

members find information on certifications and licenses related to
their jobs and civilian careers.

Training Leaders
• Training is emphasized at the foundational levels of military service,
particularly in essential combat skills. This focus is necessary to ensure
that soldiers possess the fundamental abilities required for military
operations regardless of their specific roles.
• Some trainings offer a hands-on, live-action approach to training. Some
examples of trainings include the National Training Center (NTC), Joint
Readiness Training Center (JRTC).
• Online training is very important in the Army now. Some examples of
online training sites include Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) and
Blackboard.
• A combination of two training methods is the Engagement Skills Trainer
(EST). EST is designed to simulate live weapons training events.
